No, it would not. You seem deeply confused about the nature of war. An imperfect defense is not equivalent to no defense.

The Gulf States had made pretty solid progress in normalizing relations with Iran until Trump and Netanyahu decided that peace was the last thing they could tolerate with Teheran.

Given how willing Iran was to attack them, what makes you think this progress was anything but illusory?

Furthermore, those Gulf states seem to view culpability for Iran's attacks rather differently than you do. Are they deceived? Or do they perhaps understand their own situation better than you do?

yes, they are rather clear that they are blaming Israel for starting to bomb Iranian oil depots and facilities, and desalination plants, something that very sane nations had tried to avoid.
They are also pissed at Israel for planting stories that some Gulf States attacked Iranian infrastructure to draw them deeper into the conflict.

They all think that they overpaid in their bribes to Trump and the US Military Complex and would have been better off to make the Strait a Demilitarized zone.

By 7:10 AM ET, the S&P 500 surged +240 points adding +$2 TRILLION in market cap.

27 minutes later, Iran completely denied all of President Trump's claims and said there has been "no contact" with the US.

By 8:00 AM ET. the S&P 500 had fallen -120 points erasing -$1 trillion in market cap.

That's a $3 TRILLION swing market cap in 56 minutes, just in the S&P 500.
