Split Thread DEI in the US

I've already linked - several times - to the Australian Public Service diversity and inclusion policy.
And you're pretty confident that it doesn't cover the same concepts from the wiki?

From the wiki we have this:

Workplace diversity has become a business management concept in which employers actively seek to promote an inclusive workplace. By valuing diversity, employers possess the capacity to create an environment in which there is a culture of respect for individual differences as well as the ability to draw in talent and ideas from all segments of the population.

From the APS website we have this:

Diversity and Inclusion's primary role is to deliver strategies and initiatives that build an APS which values diverse views, backgrounds, abilities and perspectives. We support the APS to foster diverse workforces and create respectful, psychologically safe and inclusive workplaces where everyone can contribute.

Well, since you are linking to a Wikipedia entry that refers to Affirmative Action in the United States, and the example I have given several times is the diversity and inclusion policy of the Australian Government Public Service, which doesn't exclusively rely on affirmative action, yeah, I'm pretty confident that it doesn't just cover the same concepts.

Just from clicking around the APS website, I believe your confidence is misplaced.

I'm seeing the same values, same goals, same arguments on both of these websites.

Australia now has affirmative action laws, although (for now) they only apply to large corporations.

From the website of the Australian Government Workplace Gender Equality Agency:

New legislation requires 'designated relevant employers' (DREs) to select and meet gender equality targets.

A DRE is defined as an employer who directly employs 500 or more employees.

These employers will need to select and commit to achieve 3 targets from a menu of 19 options. At the end of 3 years, they need to meet or demonstrate improvement against each target selected.

The list of targets employers can select from is defined in the legislation and detailed in the WGEA Targets Menu Guide.

Well...

Here is an example of how DEI should work.

A job is advertised.

All applications are given a unique ID by Human Resources, and then stripped of:

Age;
Sex; and
Ethnicity.

The selection panel then meets and selects a group to be interviewed, based on the anonymized applications.

If you're hiring musicians, the applicants that get selected for audition, perform behind a curtain, so that the panel can't tell their age, sex or ethnicity.

:D

In other words, there should be no DEI.

None of which have ever been included in any application I've ever filled out in my career.

Also, how do you strip age from a CV that stretches back 20 years, versus a CV that goes back only two years?

You clicked around. I worked within the APS for 15 years, with yearly mandatory refresher trainings.

This is literally DEI. This is ignoring all age, sex, and ethnicity data. This is what we want, which is DEI.
Your gaslighting is pointless. Those of us who know what DEI is, know what DEI is. Those of us who have been living under a rock for the past decade, can do a search and find out that THE WHOLE POINT of DEI is to give preferences to real or supposed historically oppressed identity groups. Those who are just as brainwashed as you, will go on believing, or pretending, that DEI isn't about that. Thus, your gaslighting attempts will have no effect on anybody whomsoever.

The whole point of DEI is to help the fight against white supremacy that has always been trying to take over the USA. I guess when you're brainwashed, you believe the DEI is a program designed to hurt white people at the expense of hiring unqualified people. Your gaslighting attempts are about as successful as Trump's economy.

At least you're honest that DEI has nothing to do with equality.

Overthrowing white supremacy is necessary for equality to happen.
You've poisoned the well by assuming from the start that one group of people are presumptively bad because of their skin hue. You can't possibly have equality if that's your positional foundation.

Apparently, marriage is White Supremacy™. With DEI, we can smash this racist abomination.

No, because practically every culture on the planet has some form of marriage, but it is almost always patriarchy and male-dominance.
