To be fair I think she probably had made her assessment clear to Trump, Trump then decided to listen to Netanyahu, who told him Iran was only two weeks from getting an atomic bomb. Netanyahu has been utterly consistent in his assessment that Iran is only two weeks from getting an atomic bomb over many years. She is doing her best not to make Trump look bad.

A former senior intelligence official who resigned in protest over the Iran war is under investigation by the FBI for allegedly leaking classified information, according to a source familiar with the matter.

The source told NBC News that the investigation began before Joe Kent, a longtime Trump ally and retired Green Beret, announced his resignation Tuesday as director of the National Counterterrorism Center.

Semafor first reported the investigation.

Kent, who reported to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, said Tuesday that he disagreed with the decision to go to war against Iran and that its regime did not pose “an imminent threat” as the Trump administration has asserted.

The White House referred questions to the FBI, which declined to comment. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday night.

Joe Kent is not the nicest kind of guy - or he wouldn't have gotten the job. He has always been a bit of a Fuentes supporter, and so it was no surprised that the first thing he did after resigning was to go on Tucker's show and, very tastefully, blame everything going on with Iran on Israel.

He's big into White Replacement and militant anti-wokism.
