General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

I'll also be writing to the Vice Chancellor. I asked their archery club if I could bring my shotgun and they said no! Tax payers pay for their targets and we should get to use them. Their butts should be mine to use.

Most people use shotguns for small targets like skeet. So what Wudang is saying is "I like big butts and I cannot lie...."

I have written to the Vice Chancellor of Bangor University informing him that barring Reform from speaking at his university is unlawful.

They must apologise to Sarah Pochin MP and ensure she is able to speak there. 👇

How to tell us you don't understand the workings of a university without telling us you don't know how a university works.

By Yusuf's reckoning the VC at Sheffield should have been able to stop all us mob-handed louts occupying bits of the university admin building as a protest back in the day...

Aaaah, Yusuf is just being a lying twat: he has a degree from LSE, so he should know fine well about the internal workings and differentiations at a British university.

Lying snowflake!

ETA And "Where's My Mind?" Pochin apparently has a degree from Loughborough, so she should also understand how a university works. Mind, she's another private school and banking sector type, so she clearly knows better.

<shrug> It's just a performance for the faithful, to nurse their wrath and keep it warm. It doesn't have to make even a scrap of sense. They'll have forgotten as soon as the next petty thing to be angry about comes along.

Yeah, well, it's bloody woke, long-haired students, stoned out of their minds on kaftans and that, innit? :a2:

A local Reform councillor is continuing to try to stir up the rabble on Facebook by posting about accommodation for Afghan refugees who helped the British armed forces. It's being paid for by central government, but he keeps banging on about how our own veterans are being disadvantaged by it.

The Reform UK leader of Leicestershire County Council has urged party bosses to remove the whip from one of his colleagues.

In a letter seen by the BBC, Dan Harrison criticised his former deputy council leader Joseph Boam over a social media post in which he stated "I stand with ICE" hours after federal immigration agents fatally shot nurse Alex Pretti in Minneapolis last month.

Harrison wrote to Reform UK's deputy leader Richard Tice urging him to "kick Joseph out of the party".

Boam, who represents Whitwick on the authority, declined to comment on the letter when contacted by the BBC.

A Reform Ltd leader trying to do the right thing? He'll be gone by tea time!

Today's Gammon outrage
The Bangor University statement:

If it's on campus property it's your responsibility.

Would you take this tone if a student group banned people from a different protected group such as no black people, Muslims or homosexuals?

Your students breaking the law under your banner is squarely your responsibility.

It's all well and good saying this, however what will you about the sensitive runts that forced you to have to say this?

A debating society has to be neutral. You need to do something more than just this.

You have fostered the environment of all this woke ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊. Universities are all completely ◊◊◊◊ nowadays.

Seems you're turning out a load of weaklings and lemmings then, unable to think for themselves or indeed debate matters disagreeable to themselves. Does that render you a pointless institution or is that your intended aim?

But what kind of culture are you fostering where students from a debating society proudly refuse to debate with a party that’s at 30% in the polls?

I expect universities to be elitist, to a degree. But close-minded and dogmatic? What’s going wrong on your campus?

It does rather ask a lot of questions about what you are teaching, as your students do seem to think that your claimed values are not theirs.

Closing the university until it can show its competent at education may be best all round.

Maybe you should teach your students about the importance of debate and open dialogue with everyone, not just those they agree with.

If YOU the boss, then do the BOSSING, stop the vile hard left anti free speech ..''teaching'' . Because look at what you are churning out ..??

etc

Since Pouchin said that seeing non-white people in adverts 'drove her mad', I think that as a safeguarding issue she should be banned from campus, After all who knows what kind of psychoses actually seeing them in real life might provoke?

Perhaps for safety's sake she should move to that village Jenrick lives in when he isn't making videos where he interviews white people he meets in the street about how he can't find any white people.
