"I want to go to Bangor University" said nobody ever. Especially if Bangor University is stripped of government funding and student loan facilities by @reformparty_uk Is that "in line with your values," poppets?

Reform's priority in government would be cultural vandalism as revenge for some students not inviting them to talk to their club.

They don't really want to run the country, they just want to be given the power to destroy stuff they don't like.

Since when did Freedom of Speech also mean that everyone has to listen? You can still say your ◊◊◊◊ and get it printed or broadcast (oh, yes, especially if you are Reform), but why does that mean other folk have to have you in their space and have to listen to you?

Many years ago - maybe 1978? - Glasgow University Student Representative Council proposed a motion supporting the IRA H Block hunger strikers. Much debate at the meeting. Then someone got up and said he had a group of signatures for a counter motion that GU had no position on the subject. Someone yelled "What religion are you?" which the chair declared out of order. The guy said he'd answer it "I'm the president of GU Rangers supporters club, my co-sponsor is the president of GU Celtic supporters club." He won the day.
Traditionally there is (especially at that time) intense rivalry between Rangers (Protestant) and Celtic (Catholic) with many Northern Irish sectarian songs sung at the games.
Out of the several thousand at GU that year maybe 200/250 attended that meeting.

As you know, from my media contributions, I’ve never been one to shy away from a free and fair debate.

However, I have serious concerns about the impartiality of the hustings that have been organised for tonight.

Previous statements by the organising group give the clear impression that a fair and level platform will not be provided for all candidates, so on that basis I will not be attending.

I look forward to future opportunities to discuss the issues that matter most to those in the local area and answer questions from local residents in a genuinely neutral setting - including at the forthcoming Manchester Evening News hustings and the BBC’s by-election debate on Monday.

I cannot wait for these debates.

Tonight, I shall be canvassing local people as I have been doing three times a day every day since this campaign began.

I am very much looking forward to the forthcoming debates!

Vote Reform, Get Starmer Out.

They must apologise to Sarah Pochin MP and ensure she is able to speak there.

No doubt the V.C. will write back informing you that he hasn't done so.

I'll also be writing to the Vice Chancellor. I asked their archery club if I could bring my shotgun and they said no! Tax payers pay for their targets and we should get to use them. Their butts should be mine to use.
