Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

This is from a Department of Homeland Security report obtained by NBC News.

Problem is, video shows an officer disarmed Pretti a moment before other officers opened fire, reportedly firing ten rounds. Also relevant. immediately following the shooting, Kristi Noem was claiming Pretti had approached lawmen with a firearm drawn.
They seem to have left out the disarming part.

Huh, how about that?

Problem is, video shows...
Not only is the part about disarming Pretti completely left out, the video shows the officers were not attempting to take Pretti into custody. There was no warning (i.e., "You're under arrest"). Detainees must be put on notice that officers intend to arrest them, such that subsequent resistance is unlawful. But more importantly, the agent simply walked up behind Pretti and attempted to pepper-spray him from behind.

Sadly this is about as accurate and truthful as any other police report in the U.S. Police always lie.

"CBP [Customs and Border Protection] personnel attempted to take Pretti into custody. Pretti resisted CBP personnel’s efforts and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, a BPA yelled, 'He’s got a gun!' multiple times," the report said. Approximately five seconds later, a Border Patrol agent and a CBP officer both fired shots at Pretti, according to the report."

On Tuesday, following the shooting of Alex Pretti on Saturday, trump said, "you can’t have guns, you can’t walk in with guns.” That sounds to me like trump had been briefed on Pretti having been disarmed before being shot, while an officer yelled, "He had a gun!" or "He has a gun!" and other officers opened fire. So trump was trying to establish that, even if a disarmed Pretti was shot while lying face down in the street, it was a predictable outcome and the fault was on the victim.

"You can’t have guns."

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but the one thing that stood out to me from that video is the amount of damage he was able to do to the vehicle taillight with only his foot. I'm pretty sure I would break my foot if I kicked a car hard enough to do that much damage. Unless the taillight was already badly damaged or he was wearing some sort of very heavy steel-toed boots, I don't know that anyone could kick a taillight out like that.
It depends on what
So many of the lines in Andor and Rogue One.

I have seen demonstratins where a lot of Donnie's fanboys have guns......

It is the double standard I cannot stand.

"...I designed her to look exactly like my mother, and she lets me do anything,” said Bovino before taking a sip of water from a public toilet.

:dl: :dl: :dl:

I question the wisdom of taking a pistol to protest where the chances of a confrontration are high, but no way did Pretti draw on an officer.

I have read some articles about how many on the poolitical left have been buying guns since Trump was reelected.
I just hope that those who have never owned a gun before get the proper safety training.

i agree. that should have been a requirement for buying a gun a long time ago. but it's not.

idk if the footage of ice trying to enter ecuador consulate was posted earlier but here it is if not
Because we need more international incidents.

My hiking and gym buddy (a U.S. Marine) had a relevant comment a couple weeks ago. Anyone trying to do anything "tactical" in jeans (too constrictive) and sneakers (no ankle support) is, "stupid as [Marine colloquialism]." This isn't the first time it's been photographed and commented upon that these guys clearly have never learned the practical lessons you learn from suitable training. The first time you roll your ankle, you learn to lace up your boots properly. The first time you split your jeans, you learn to like the baggy BDUs.

Also not the best gear for cold weather. This also suggests a lack of leadership. No NCOs dressing him down properly for not dressing up properly.
