Well, pardon me for considering that (violation of forum etiquette). I say what I feel like saying and what I believe I have something to say about. As an American voter with a concern for the effect national politics have on local life and on the future of my family, many of them foreign born,, a few not traditional in other ways, of course if I feel like stating my opinions they are likely to involve policies which, as a voter and a citizen, are within my province.No, that's not required. But if you suddenly raise your voice whenever Trump gets involved, I'm going to suspect that you didn't care before.
In other words, you don't actually know anything about this strike, you don't actually know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, you're just assuming it's bad because it's Trump.So yeah, I raise my voice whenever Trump is involved because I actually believe Trump is a blot on our country's history,
That's a compelling argument right there.TLDR, **** ***
It wouldn't. Obama ordered plenty of strikes. Most people didn't get their panties in a twist every time he did.That said, I really wonder if all the pearl-clutching, couch-fainting and performative pretzel twisting going on in this thread would be happening if it was a democratic president who had ordered the strikes.
Yeah, it's the old cartoon where one guy says "Yes, saving dogs is important to me!", to which the other replies "Oh, so you hate cats."Well, pardon me for considering that (violation of forum etiquette). I say what I feel like saying and what I believe I have something to say about. As an American voter with a concern for the effect national politics have on local life and on the future of my family, many of them foreign born,, a few not traditional in other ways, of course if I feel like stating my opinions they are likely to involve policies which, as a voter and a citizen, are within my province.
So yeah, I raise my voice whenever Trump is involved because I actually believe Trump is a blot on our country's history, of whom we as a nation should be ashamed. I truly. believe he is the agent of destruction of the nation my ancestors fought to found and died to preserve. And sure, as a participating inheritor of the society he strives so hard to degrade, I can be accused of caring more, or at least having more involvement, here than about the awful things, the sins and corruptions and the fanatical excesses that occur far away and about which my voice is unheard anyway. To care more about one thing is not to care nothing about others. To say something matters is not to say other things don't.
My voice is weak and likely of little effect, but it makes more sense to me to use it against people like you than Kim Jong Un or unknown caliphs in Africa, no matter how despicable they are.
TLDR, **** ***
In this case I suspect that is a difficult position, sort of like saying that your annoyance at having birds pooping on your laundry is suspect unless you can somehow prove you would feel the same if they were pigs.I have no love for The Fat Orange Turd. I regard him as the Rapist in Chief, and the Mob-Boss in Chief. He is more corrupt that the Marcos family, he's an authoritarian, wannabe king/dictator, an anti-democracy clown, a racist and a general, all-round crook. I am sure he will have used the "services" provided by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell during the time when the public didn't really know who they were and what they were up to (IMO his "hardly knew him" routine is a transparent sham - the photographic record doesn't lie).
That said, I really wonder if all the pearl-clutching, couch-fainting and performative pretzel twisting going on in this thread would be happening if it was a democratic president who had ordered the strikes.

He don't look comfortable either.
. . . Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!Before changing its name to the Trump-Kennedy Center, the board of trustees apparently forgot to secure the new website domain.
Unfortunately for them, the domain is now owned by comedian and former South Park writer Toby Morton.
The only cogent response to that is what the ◊◊◊◊ are you talking about?Stephen Miller
@StephenM
Watched the Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra Family Christmas with my kids.
Imagine watching that and thinking America needed infinity migrants from the third world.
Assuming something is bad because it's Trump is generally good policy.In other words, you don't actually know anything about this strike, you don't actually know if it's a good thing or a bad thing, you're just assuming it's bad because it's Trump.
No, not really.Assuming something is bad because it's Trump is generally good policy.
