General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

Tomorrow's Gammon outrage

The UK is set to rejoin the Erasmus scheme, the BBC understands, five years after announcing it would end its participation as part of a deal to leave the European Union.

Through the scheme the EU provides funding for people to study, train or volunteer in other European countries for up to a year.

The UK replaced it with its own Turing scheme in 2021, which funds similar placements worldwide.

The government said it would not comment on ongoing talks. Ministers are expected to make an announcement on Wednesday.

Probably because those students applying for Turing funding went to Europe anyway.

This is terrible! (For Nigel)
Labour are ruining the economy (For Nigel)
Starmer had to go

Falls in food, alcohol, and clothing prices last month helped drive inflation to its lowest level in eight months in November.

The inflation rate fell to 3.2% from 3.6%, a larger fall than analysts expected.

ITV News are running a poll this morning.
Is this because he's white?
ITN painted him as a family man and never mentioned he had been to prison for biting someone's ear off and was kicked out of the marines.

Paul Doyle, who drove at crowds "in a rage" ploughing into more than 130 people at Liverpool FC's victory parade, has been jailed for 21 years and six months.

But is his sentence too harsh?

Yes
No

Following my appearance on Dan Wotton Uncensored, during which I outlined my concerns regarding Turning Point UK, including the organisation’s reliance on predominantly re-uploaded content, I have since been permanently suspended from my position within the Turning Point UK

By the way Turning Point UK have nothing to do with Turning Point USA and would hate for this to hurt the legacy of Charlie

I intend to form my own organisation and projects that can actually help young people and win the right the next election.

That's not a no then.

Telegraph: Chris Parry said that David Lammy, born & raised in London, should go home to the Caribbean.. are those comments racist?

Danny Kruger:"I do recognise Chris Parry is a very distinguished public servant & it's good to have his support for Reform”

I think it's more of a "Yes, BUT LOOKIT DAT RABBIT OVAR DERE!" answer myself.

Crafty is still grifting.
With his Cabinet posts he gets paid altogether around £40k by the council.
He didn't give up his job he resigned before he was sacked.

Facebook has demonetised me for being elected as a Councillor. Council allowances are hardly riches, and I gave up a TV gig to serve my community. Associate solicitor Rojin Tasman and former President of the Law Society and Solicitor, Stephanie Boyce debate.

Look who has slimed himself into another job that as usual he's completely unqualified for.
Of course he will ◊◊◊◊ everyone over, whatever the consequences, in order to continue his accumulation of wealth.

Hi, some personal news - I’m changing job. I recently asked myself the question: what’s the most exciting and promising company in the world right now? The answer I believe is OpenAI. So it’s a privilege to be going to work for OpenAI as managing director and head of OpenAI for countries, based here in London. In my conversations with Sam Altman, Brad Lightcap, and other senior colleagues, it’s clear they are exceptionally impressive leaders and that they care very deeply about their mission to ensure the power of artificial intelligence is developed responsibly, and the benefits are felt by all. That’s exactly what the OpenAI for Countries initiative intends to achieve, helping societies around the world share the opportunity this powerful technology brings. Am honorored to join the team.

So OpenAI's insolvency date has been moved up from months away to days away, Itake it.

The Duke of Marlborough has been charged with intentional strangulation.

The 70-year-old is accused of attacking the same person in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, three times over an 18-month period.

Charles James Spencer-Churchill, formerly known as Jamie Blandford, is a relative of Sir Winston Churchill and Diana, Princess of Wales.

He is due to appear before Oxford magistrates on Thursday.

The attacks are alleged to have taken place between November 2022 and May 2024, Thames Valley Police said.

This is what true patriotism looks like!
A sad middle aged man, puffed up to look like Rod Stewart & an immigrant himself, eating ‘English’ grub in an Islamic country whilst slagging off the UK, Islam and migrants.

There would currently seem to be a high risk of a false flag attack in the UK with ‘Russia’ being blamed.
For the record Russia is overwhelmingly winning on the battlefield in Ukraine so much so that Ukraine is likely to end up a landlocked country. The only thing that can save Zelenskyy and his crowd now is major third party intervention.
Why would Russia want to provoke that ? It would be stupid of Russia to do anything to provoke that and the Russian leadership is certainly not stupid.

As sure as night follows day

Didn’t your Govt promise we would stay in Erasmus and then didn’t?

Labour continue to betray Brexit.

They have consistently undermined the result of the 2016 referendum and remain obsessed with dragging Britain back under the control of Brussels.

Now they are throwing away billions of pounds of hard-pressed taxpayers’ money on rejoining Erasmus, instead of taking advantage of our Brexit freedoms to support trade with the rest of the world, boost investment, and drive economic growth.

Labour are not fit to govern Britain.

I do hope he remembered to invoice the Russian embassy for that. Xmas is an expensive time of year.
