General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

98.4% of Tommy's numbers are unadulterated bull ◊◊◊◊.
100% when he's disclosing his assets.

Given that he boasted of claiming to be bankrupt to avoid paying damages to a teenager he defamed, and given that he's been found with loads of cash, I hope that HMRC are looking at his tax affairs.

But they were fine in my years as a Tory MP

Reform UK

Danny Kruger: “The civil service is overstaffed, badly led and underperforming.”

They're still wanking themselves into a fury over the idea of playing Temu DOGE and sacking lots of imaginary woke civil servants doing unnecessary jobs. As you say, most of these ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ were Tories, and they ran the place into the ground for 14 of the last 15 years. If they were as incompetent as they imply they were until a year ago, what changed? The colour of their rosette, that's all.

I'm shocked!
It's always the ones you most expect.

David McLennan is Reform UK's first elected councillor in Scotland. He won a by-election in Whitburn last week.

He claims to be a retired police officer, but David actually left the force after being charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice, we reveal tonight.

Like American TV evangelists, whatever they vehemently oppose in public, they fervently indulge in private. Lying hypocrites to a man.

And I thought Coxy was just a Vic Reeves character.

Houchen’s Teesworks and airport projects owe £520mn to TVCA, missing repayments and forcing £140mn more borrowing this year.

The government has ordered an independent review into foreign financial interference in UK politics in response to what it called the "shocking" case of Nathan Gill, the former leader of Reform UK in Wales.

Announcing the review, Communities Secretary Steve Reed said the government must "learn the lessons" from the case so "this can never happen again".

The review will be led by former senior civil Philip Rycroft and will report back in March.

Tomorrow's Gammon outrage

The UK is set to rejoin the Erasmus scheme, the BBC understands, five years after announcing it would end its participation as part of a deal to leave the European Union.

Through the scheme the EU provides funding for people to study, train or volunteer in other European countries for up to a year.

The UK replaced it with its own Turing scheme in 2021, which funds similar placements worldwide.

The government said it would not comment on ongoing talks. Ministers are expected to make an announcement on Wednesday.
