General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

Man dies after falling from a lamppost while putting up flags.

He was described as an "author" in one of the news reports.

He wrote a couple of books "about his time as a football casual".

So he was always an unpleasant violent individual.

From the link:
He was reputed to be the first person in the country to receive a football banning order when they were introduced, and spent several spells in prison in his younger days for football-related violence.

“His family and friends were at the centre of everything he did,” another friend said. “Anyone who knew him will remember the pride, love and warmth with which he spoke about them all. He was a working-class hero.”

Weights and Measures laws are EU nonsense.

We should be free to be short measured.

Well, that's what GBNews thinks

The EU mandated Britain measure out drinks with a ridiculous set of measures.

You only realise how silly this sort of perfuncturism is once you go to a country not bound by these sort of structured regulations.

Americans pour better drinks. Repeal the silly EU measures mandate.

"Perfunctionism" is my new favorite word. So long, " cofvefe"!

Sounds like he should have been hung from the lamppost. But this is close enough. 3/5, fair effort.
I recall his kind of hooligan. Came to Loftus Road, and his mob started tearing out seats and throwing them at the home fans.

Here lieth the body of Paul Lumber

Fell backwards off a ladder

A Bristol City hooligan

Met a fate that could ne'er be sadder.

This is long overdue:

Men who correct women over any disagreement could be hauled before disciplinarians under plans being weighed up by the Green Party.

Leaders are considering broadening the party's definition of misogyny to the point that 'any disagreement' could lead to men facing sanction.

The proposals are set out in a leaked 53-page dossier on legal and reputational risk prepared by its own lawyers. DM

About time, too!

Tommy got a good turnout for his Christian, Christmas revival rally 'Masculine Christianity with no Churches'

Taking back Jesus for the people and reuniting Britain as a Christian nation.

They got about a thousand people but they are claiming the biggest crowd in history of course.

The threats against Reform are real, but the tide is turning.

More needs to be done to protect our valuable people

Nigel Farage’s party is gunning for power – so what is it like in the places where they’ve already got it? We embedded with Lancashire county council to find out what happens when rhetoric meets reality
