Trump's Second Term

Tsunami war, US vs Russia. Was not on my bingo card for Trump II term:
More on nuclear power: Trump’s nuclear announcement may have been a response to Vladimir Putin, who said yesterday that Russia had successfully tested a nuclear-powered underwater drone designed to cause a tsunami that could devastate a coastal city.
NYT
Paywwall story:
Google AI
Key details about the Poseidon drone and the recent test include:
Nuclear-powered propulsion: Putin stated that during the test, the drone's nuclear power unit was launched and ran for a period of time, marking a significant milestone.

Indestructible claim: Putin claimed the Poseidon is impossible to intercept due to its speed and depth capabilities, which he said have no global equivalent.

Radioactive tsunami: The drone is reportedly armed with a nuclear warhead capable of generating a radioactive tsunami, designed to flood coastal cities and render them uninhabitable.

Part of a "superweapon" program: The Poseidon is one of six nuclear superweapons programs that Russia has been developing.
Timing of the announcement: The announcement came days after Russia also claimed a successful test of the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile. Both tests occurred shortly after a scheduled summit between Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump collapsed.

I have seen someone suggest that AOC publicly accept the implicit challenge in Trump's claims about his IQ tests at Walter Reed. After all he said she would struggle, so a public comparison would be great and I'm sure he'd demonstrate his ability.

Haven't seen this mentioned yet...

From: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/na...esting-nuclear-weapons-immediately-rcna240681
President Donald Trump said Wednesday he had instructed the Defense Department to “immediately” start testing nuclear weapons "on an equal basis" with other nations....The United States has the ability to resume tests at a federal site in Nevada.

I wonder how the residents of Nevada will feel when the U.S. starts detonating nuclear weapons in the state. But then I remembered, the state went for Trump in the 2024 election, so they voted for that. Enjoy the radiation. Make sure you put on extra sun-block when you go outside.

(In memory of the fat clown, I give you)

President Donald Trump called on US military leaders to resume testing US nuclear weapons in order to keep pace with other countries such as Russia and China.

"Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis," he wrote on social media just before meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in South Korea

Trump's post did not include details of how the tests would occur, but wrote the "process will begin immediately".

I note in typical Trump fashion that the decision has nothing to do with whether it's a good idea, useful or harmful, what it costs, or in fact anything but competitition. They're doing it so we'll do it even more, whatever it is.

'We can't allow there to be a mineshaft gap!'

We'll just have to see, won't we?

Personally, I'm just trying to think positive (which is hard to do with the fat clown running things into the ground), and hopefully the red states give him a hard time about it, but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Anyway, like I said, I think food banks will step it up, unlike the fat clown and his damn maga weirdoes. Some states are even going to try and pick up the gap, so there is hope.

Just a small update from my local food bank:

"We're still buzzing from the excitement of our 2025 benefit auction after raising a record-breaking $677,768!"

It won't solve all of the problems caused by the fat clown, but it's a good start.

I saw a YouTube post about some activists going around Chicago on bikes, buying up the goods sold by food carts daily so that the owners could go home early and avoid harrassment by ICE.

Edit: Found a news story

Blowing up boats in the Caribbean with nuclear bombs could make for some spectacular videos.

That money will go fast, but it's a good start. Meanwhile, in Vermont the governor has signed a bill to extend Snap benefits for at least a little while.

Donald's statement on nuclear testing.

@realDonald Trump
The United States has more Nuclear Weapons than any other country. This was accomplished, including a complete update and renovation of existing weapons, during my First Term in office. Because of the tremendous destructive power, I HATED to do it, but had no choice! Russia is second, and China is a distant third, but will be even within 5 years. Because of other countries testing programs, I have instructed the Department of War to start testing our Nuclear Weapons on an equal basis. That process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT

DONALD J. TRUMP

I think he meant the Hanwha Philly Shipyard, which is in Philadelphia.
Which has no capability of building submarines, let alone nuclear ones.

Even when the shipyard was part of the Navy, it hadn't built a submarine since WW1.

The shipyard is not SUBSAFE, nor does it have capability to store nuclear materials, etc. etc. That stuff can take decades.

Hanwha looks like it is expanding to build LNG carries.

Maybe they can outsource it to Subway. They make submarines🤔

Starvation is a deliberate tactic

BASH: Even Josh Hawley says you should move money around to feed people. Why not consider that?

MIKE JOHNSON: Because if you deviate from the goal of reopening the entire government, Chuck Schumer and the radicals over there will continue to play games. If you do just part of this, it will reduce the pressure for them to do all of it
