General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

Elon Musk
@elonmusk
Civil war in Britain is inevitable.

Just a question of when.

So now he's doing gambling ads instead...
About which I have unexpectedly mixed feelings, being generally opposed to gambling, and even more to ads for gambling, because the music in the background is the latest single from a band called Bugeye who I rather like, and I featured the track in a weekly playlist (entirely unconnected with the ad).

I feel the same way about the one with 'She Sells Sanctuary' by The Cult prominantly featured.

We have a huge. huge unacknowledged problem with in-home gambling.

I get really annoyed with their adverts here they're going on about being able to set spending limits or time outs like they're really doing something to deal with the problem. Because we all know that people with addiction issues will never bypass self imposed restrictions.

Ok, Elon. Let's assume that you know the difference between the occasional riot and full-blown civil war. Tell us, how will the war begin? Who will constitute the faction opposing the government? How will those who aren't in the armed forces (180-odd thousand out of 70 million) or the police (170-odd thousand, the vast majority of whom aren't authorised to carry firearms), equip themselves for battle?

Can you answer these three questions? Or are you just an execrable, moronic, seditious, vulva?

It'll be the army of overweight Norman Knights, with their painted faces (frankly they could save the price of the red greasepaint) and chainmail they made by spray painting their gran's hand knitted balaclava silver who are turning up at ex hotels to 'Protect Are Wimmen'. Thanks to their rightiousness God will fight with them and their plastic swords and cardboard shields will prevail over the guns of the regular army.

For God (although they haven't been in a church since they left school, early, at the school's request)
Harry (well, not Harry, he was alrght when he was dressing as a Nazi but since he took up with that coloured bird he's turned all woke)
And Saint George! (What do you mean he was a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Palestinian??!?)

Yeah, addiction theatre is cheap. Denise Coates didn't become the UK fastest female billionaire by her customers setting betting limits etc.

Things going well

A councillor who quit the Conservatives to join Reform UK earlier this month has stepped down from the party after 20 days.

Grantham councillor Mark Whittington will now sit on South Kesteven District Council as an unaligned independent member.

He left the Conservatives on 7 October, telling the media the party was "over" and had failed to deliver change.

Yet another that who should be nowhere near the levers of any power, because he made two majorly disastrous decisions in a row: Joining the Tories then quitting, then joining Reform then quitting. So what job is he going to quit next?

To be fair that's two bad decisions and two decisions that would be good decisions if they weren't only necessary because you'd previously made ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ bad decisions.

Rogue nation status or bust.

Only by voting for Reform, who suddenly make you realise normal politicians weren't entirely incompetent after all, will we be able to ensure that the disgusting idea of humans having rights is consigned to the dustbin of history.

Reform has called for the return of 1960s three-wheeled free cars for disabled people, as it launched plans to save billions of pounds by restricting benefits for mental health claimants

Bring back three-wheeled cars for disabled drivers, Reform urges
The chief whip, Lee Anderson, suggests return of ‘Invacars’, which were withdrawn on safety grounds, as part of a replacement of the Motability scheme

Anderson told a press conference hosted by the party: “I remember back in the day if you were on disability and you wanted a car from the state, it was a blue three-wheeler, anybody remember those? What’s wrong with that? Let’s go back to that.”
