Trump's Second Term

He seems to be a black hole. Nothing is enough. No grudge too miniscule to hold, no praise ever immense enough to satisfy, no violence in word and deed towards his percieved enemies ever too excessive. The man is a monster.
I have used "fractally vile" or it's scale-invariant. From insisting on more ice cream than anyone else to cheating at golf through to mocking disabilities and onto treason and rape.

Dump wants a tunnel between Alaska and russia. Lying liberal media calls the idea insane for some reason.

Oh yes I'm sure that a company that has developed a borer tat works at 1/10 the speed of the Chunnel borer will speed through the Baring straight.

And no, TACO knows nothing about construction. The only such projects that worked out for his companies were ones his subordinates 100% thought up of and ran. Every single one of the ones he involved himself in failed.

I’m wondering if Mike Johnson is refusing to swear in the newly-elected Arizona congresswoman, continually stalling, Merrick Garland Supreme Court style, until next November, while they meanwhile feverishly work to gerrymander enough states to gain enough seats to ensure they easily maintain control of the house, so that the congresswoman’s currently-needed vote to release the Epstein files becomes worthless.

And that, my friends, is one dilly of a sentence!

A news story in The Beast gives an example of California Governor Gavin Newsom not being afraid to say "the quiet part out loud."
California Gov. Gavin Newsom took a fresh swipe at President Donald Trump’s mental fitness on Monday, suggesting that the president’s doctors may have their own concerns. Newsom seized on Trump’s admission Sunday evening that he’d taken an aptitude test under a doctor’s direction. “Most people don’t take that many cognitive tests unless a doctor is worried,” Newsom wrote on X. He makes a good point.

Actually, my doctors have me do a Medicare Wellness exam once a year, which includes the cognitive tests like remembering some things and drawing a clock. I, however, did not remember "man, woman, camera, person, TV".
I'm also not concerned that they had him come in a second time in a year. I'm a couple years younger and been having two visits a year for quite a while.
I do remain puzzled at how he can be five or six inches taller than me and weigh less despite having a bigger gut.

No, I'm not puzzled. He lies like a rug.

CNN reports:
Trump, who at 79 is one of the oldest presidents in US history, declined to say why he received the MRI during the Walter Reed visit earlier this month, telling reporters to “ask the doctors...But the doctor said some of the best reports for the age, some of the best reports they’ve ever seen,” he said. The doctor had tears in his eyes as he said it! Honest!

I still remember my first 3 (mostly it is 3) words of my cognitivectest. Baby, village and kitchen. A month ago I had three. One was mountain. 3 unrelated nouns.

Evidence of declining US influence?

The UK has secured a deal worth up to £8bn to supply Turkey with 20 Typhoon fighter jets.
It's certainly possible that the US is losing influence in the world (especially in military procurement). But I don't think turkey buying typhoon fighter jets is evidence of that.

Recall Turkey was set to buy the F35 but the US cancelled the deal because turkey also bought the Russian s400 missile system, and the US did not want to risk any Russian technicians/advisors getting an idea of the F35 stealth ability should they happen to cross paths. The only other American options were the f16 (a good plane but probably a step below the typhoon) and the f18 (a plane with a limited number of operators )

So turkey went with the typhoon because the plane they preferred (f35) was not available and went with the second best option
