Trump's Second Term

Critics of the Ballroom are unhinged, it's official.

Karoline Leavitt
@PressSec
"White House ballroom construction derangement syndrome is real and is currently dominating the rhetoric of the nation’s political Left. Their sole purpose in life appears to be just to be angry over anything and everything President Donald Trump does, even when the accusations are a complete detachment from reality. Like nearly everything these people say anymore, their antics are not grounded in reality and are completely unhinged

America's Golden Age.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent
@SecScottBessent
America’s Golden Age is underway, and the best is yet to come.

Inflation is down. Energy prices are down. And real wages are up.

In 2026, working Americans will see bigger refunds and higher take-home pay thanks to President Trump and the One Big Beautiful Bill.

Very gracious of the king to heed a supplicant and not invade San Francisco on Saturday.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump
The Federal Government was preparing to "surge" San Francisco, California, on Saturday, but friends of mine who live in the area called last night to ask me not to go forward with the surge in that the Mayor, Daniel Lurie, was making substantial progress. I spoke to Mayor Lurie last night and he asked, very nicely, that I give him a chance to see if he can turn it around. I told him I think he is making a mistake, because we can do it much faster, and remove the criminals that the Law does not permit him to remove. I told him, "It's an easier process if we do it, faster, stronger, and safer but, let's see how you do?" The people of San Francisco have come together on fighting Crime, especially since we began to take charge of that very nasty subject. Great people like Jensen Huang, Marc Benioff, and others have called saying that the future of San Francisco is great. They want to give it a "shot."

Therefore, we will not surge San Francisco on Saturday. Stay tuned!

Trump math:
This is Dr Oz’s explanation of TrumpMath
“The president does the calculation by saying, ‘Okay, if a drug was $100 and you reduce it to $50, it’s 100% cheaper because you’re taking $50 off and left with only $50, so the amount you took off the price is equal to the amount that’s left. They’re equal so it’s 100%.'”
🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm not a mathematician, nor do I play one on television, but if anyone is qualified to confirm this I believe that type of calculation is technically known to those well versed in Higher Mathmatics as 'Wrong'.

Trump to go to Asia to tell Asian leaders how many trillions each has to invest in America. You can have your picture on the ball room wall if you pitch in 20 million for it.

Presumably the same maths he used to calculate the floor space in his apartment….

I have no doubt that the ballroom with be slapped together with the shottiest, cheapest, below bargain basement materials and workmanship.
Indeed. If it turns out anything like Mar-A-Lago or what he's done to the Oval Office, I expect the ballroom to end up in the same gaudy, over-gilt, 70's Vegas Pimp style that only he likes.

He's really going all in. The entire East Wing will be demolished—historical preservation be damned. And I'm seeing reporting that the budget has jumped to $300 million. No consultation with Congress. No involvement from the National Park Service. No competitive selection of the architect. Donald Trump is still basking in the illusion that he is (or ever was) a successful real-estate developer—the guy who managed to lose nearly a billion dollars...in the casino industry.

You’d think a doctor, at the very least, would know that gorging on any ***hole, let alone an ancient and decaying one, would be detrimental to his health and well being.

The images of the proposed interior seem to be mostly windows. That's not going to be cheap to keep warm in a D.C. winter.

That whole "privately funded, not costing the taxpayers anything" line the administration is trumpeting is more than a little specious too- as if it's somehow better that the money to fund renovation of a public building should come from private sources that Trump will now be beholden to rather than the public source that he should more properly always be.

Not to mention that when politicians say a project like this will be entirely privately funded they're usually lying. In the UK, Boris Johnson's 'privately funded' Garden Bridge ended up costing taxpayers £43 million despite the fact that not one brick was layed.
