I have talked about this with several of my colleagues, and because of history, Filipinos are possibly the largest non-european contingent in my office (we have a long-standing manufacturing site in the Philippines and many engineers come here if they prefer working in R&D).

They have experienced xenophobia, on occasion, so they are not immune to it, but mainly it's British Muslims who are the target.

How are they debunked and what is your explanation for the sudden sprouting of badly drawn flags in England? Britain First and Tommy Robinson have come out in favour of the flag protests, which is sufficient to taint it. If a neo Nazi is in favour of a demonstration, I personally wouldn't want to associate myself with it in case people think I'm a supporter of neo Nazis.

Yes. However this law must be enforced equally and without leeway for some but not others. If they allow Christmas decorations then they should also allow flags.

Were you intentionally ignoring the bit about the use of that particular flag as a deliberate act of provocation?

Does the word "sectarianism" mean anything to you? You might like to check out the history of the Six Counties or some recent history of Clydeside and Edinburgh: the rivalries between Celtic and Rangers or Hibs and Hearts are waaaaay more than just those between supportes of different teams. Compare and contrast with Birmingham City and Aston Villa, Manchesters City and United or even Everton and Liverpool.
