General Israel/Palestine discussion thread - Part 4

So the (Israeli military) will start killing innocent people again if the 19 (hostages' remains) are not returned?

Huh. Interesting priorities.

So, I don't know what the good options are for Israel.
Lt.Hadar Goldin's torso & skull, for instance, has been held for 'ransom' for a decade.
Perhaps the Israelis are willing to just forgo the entire body-recovery operation from this point forward.
Perhaps the Israelis are prepared to abandon them, and move directly into the next phase anyway, which provides for several steps --- towards full forces withdrawal and establishment of a replacement for HAMAS in adminstrative power. (Let's leave aside the demilitarization requirement, which is another boondoggle).

Al Jazeera writes that it's impossible for the entire phalanx of 19 to be found.
Maybe that's true, but HAMAS is not making their best effort, and 'good faith' in doing that has some value in this period.
My own personal preference is that Israel begins an expanded repatriation of Palestinian bodies it holds, up to and including Sinwar.
Unilaterally, without a quid-pro-quo. Daily transfers of those dead would create an appearance of one side trying hard to end the war, while HAMAS would then face tremendous Arab pressures to reciprocate and do what is asked of them.

In any case, just to keep this discussion on a civil plane, what would YOU do if given the power to resolve this impasse?

Looks like the IDFascists are soon going to declare that since Hamas has not returned all the rotting corpses, the cease fire has been violated and they will renew the starvation/genocide policies and start bombing civilians again.

Hamas’s military wing, the Qassam Brigades, said on Wednesday night that it had handed over all of the remains of Israeli hostages that it had been able to recover without additional equipment, potentially putting a cease-fire with Israel in the Gaza Strip at risk.

In a statement, the Palestinian militant group said that it has “committed to what was agreed upon and handed over everyone it had in terms of living captives and what it had in terms of bodies that it could recover.” But it said that it needed “special equipment” to find and extract the remains of the rest of the deceased captives, adding that it was “making great efforts.”

You know who has earth moving equipment? Israel. Why not let them do the recovery?

Do you think the IDFascists should start bombing innocent civilians in Gaza again if no more rotting corpses are returned to Israel?
I think families of victims should get the remains of their loved ones back. Your callousness towards the victims of the 10/7 atrocities... Why?

Why are you trying to downplay the enormity of what Hamas has done? Why are you trying to discount the feelings of those they have harmed. Nothing Israel has done justifies the 10/7 atrocities. Nothing Israel has done absolve Hamas of its responsibility to return all the remains of their victims.

Hamas could always uphold the ceasefire by laying down their arms, surrendering, and letting Israel recover the bodies themselves.

And in conclusion, Hamas must be destroyed.

Never did that.
Why are you trying to discount the feelings of those they have harmed.
They aren't in this forum.
Nothing Israel has done justifies the 10/7 atrocities.
They definitely contributed to the horrible situation in Gaza that caused it to happen.

Nothing Israel has done absolve Hamas of its responsibility to return all the remains of their victims.

And in conclusion, Hamas must be destroyed.

So Israel needs to eventually end the cease-fire and continue bombing innocent civilians?

Problem solved.
Donald is going to kill them

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump
If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the Deal, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I have a relative who was caught up in the attacks on 10/7 and body-snatched into Gaza.
Just mentioning it as a matter of public interest; not that this information has any relevance to the overall dynamic here. Or that it even required mentioning before a fellow member of this Forum chose to try justifying cruel remarks about his fellow Jewish brethren.
But, as we've been warned, a personalization of this discussion is not allowed within our participation here, so I'm not going to say another word about that.

HAMAS made it clear ---- Israel is not the target. London and New York are.

From "Ceasefire Now" to "End Zionism" is how the 'protestors' are pivoting, it seems.
("eradication" of Zionism)

In Post#3381, I asked directly --
"In any case, just to keep this discussion on a civil plane, what would YOU do if given the power to resolve this impasse?"

Great, now the USA will be committing genocide. :(

Let's just say, in the coming days HAMAS has a choice. Expose the entire population of Gaza to being wiped-out by a campaign of carpet bombing by USAF B2 jets. Or, optionally, announce to TheWorld™ that they're going to agree with being escorted out of Gaza into exile. (See: Beirut, 1982)

I have a feeling that option #2 might be the better one.

You're confused. The USA is not going to commit genocide against the Palestinian people, contrary to your racist sadistic wishes.

Neither you nor I have any inside information about the plans of the IDF, nor the operational orders being formulated by America's Commander in Chief.

I would like to hear what the Egyptian team now in Gaza has to say about the 'inability' of HAMAS to return 19.
There's been no comment, yet they must have some details of the process underway to locate missing bodies.

Thank you!!!!! (My additions in bold)

I guess only Israeli should get the bodies of their loved ones backe- it would be callous to deny that.
Meanwhile, Palestinians asking for the bodies of their loved ones should be ignored.

Empathy to anyone but Israeli is now antisemitic it seems

Your wrong. Those women and children were all HAMAS - or supported it - and so deserved to be slaughtered. Also the doctors, aid workers and journalists who were slaughtered - all HAMAS supporters teh lot of them. Also anyone whose critical of how Israel is handling the genocide conflict, or who doesn't explicitly support Israel in there efforts to stop the violence.

As for the numbers, Israel established long ago the principle of kill one of ours, we kill 10 of yours. That ratio isn't set in stone of course, it could be 100 or 1,000 - whatever it takes to deter further attacks. People say HAMAS are evil, but its worse than that - their stupid. They knew what the result would be if they attacked Israel on mass, yet they did it it anyway.

Not just now, its always been so. Israel found out a long time ago what happens when you let anti-semites collect their dead after being rightly killed. They use the mutilated body as a symbol for their religion of 'love' and persecute Jews for 2,000 years.
