Trump's Second Term

I suppose it's nice to hear at least one of them has heard of the constitution. Eventually one of them might read it.
Read? Well, maybe Patel can read. He can't write, of that I'm sure, after having had a look at his book for children (or rather, his daydream about Trump and himself), but that doesn't necessarily mean that he can't read, I suppose.

I will never get used to military in our streets. I will never be a Christian. I will never get used to people claiming to be Christians putting military in our streets.

Fascist think tank member Jonathan Choe: "The homeless industrial complex is running cover for ANTIFA. ANTIFA is manufacturing a crisis to make the police look bad."
Choe's Twitter feed, despite claims of violence, vagrancy, et al. - doesn't have a single video of any of it. Instead he has a bunch of videos of peaceful people whom he mocks for being overweight. (Also, he is also overweight.)

This proposal is more than symbolic. It is a tribute to a president who has reshaped America in historic ways. President Trump has revolutionized American politics, delivered the largest working families tax cut in American history, and is cleaning up the biggest mess on our southern border ever.

President Trump’s tax cut in the One Big Beautiful Bill ended federal taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security benefits. He expanded the child tax credit to ease the burden on families and created a “Made in America” manufacturing credit to restore jobs in our heartland. Because of this landmark law, every new child born in America will get a head start with $1,000 in Trump investment accounts to grow and support their American Dream, whether it be owning a business, going to college, or furthering their careers with technical training.

I don't know, 250 dollar bill? Why not make it a 100 000 bill, so those people getting the tech bros jobs can pay for the visa?

And no, Andy Barr, working class saves nothing. Looking for table.

2025 tax law changes to tax brackets, deductions, and credits in brief

Here’s a summary of key changes in the new tax bill.

  • The seven federal tax brackets (10%, 12%, 22%, 24%, 32%, 35%, 37%) are now permanent.
  • Standard deductions increased, plus a new “bonus” deduction for older adults.
  • Alternative minimum tax exemption thresholds reduced for phaseout.
  • Child tax credit increased to $2,200 per qualifying child.
  • SALT deduction cap increased temporarily, with income-based phaseouts.
The child tax credit was already in the pandemic.

Americans making about $17,000 to $51,000 would lose about $700. Those with an income of less than $17,000 would lose more than $1,000 on average. The losses are mainly a result of cuts in assistance programs including Medicaid, health insurance marketplaces, the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program and student loans.

A literal shiver ran down my spine. Of course they're making propaganda books to indoctrinate children, just like with (fundamentalist) Christianity. Of course. Wasn't this what they claimed to hate the LGBTQ+ community for doing?

I can't disagree with that hopeful meme except for the conclusion "don't be scared of this pathetic boy".

If I got on a bus and found it was being driven by an elderly labrador, I wouldn't be scared of the dog but I'd still be scared.

yesterday a reporter asked Donald about the writ of habeas corpus, and he had no idea what it was.

"I don't know," he said. "I'd rather leave that to Kristi."

Well, It turns out Sen. Hassan asked Kristi about it in May, and this was Noem's response:

HASSAN: What is habeas corpus?

NOEM: Habeas corpus is a constitutional right that the president has to be able to remove people from this country
