Merged Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University event. / Charlie Kirk Shot And Killed

Ah, so you started with the conclusion, and now you are just trying to fit the evidence to it.
No, I started with the main piece of evidence.

You don't think the shooter's motivation is probably related to the message of the victim?

I mean maybe he was just tryna impress Jodi Foster, but his stated motive was to stop Kirk from spreading hate.

Grandpappy gives grandson a gun when grandson has no interest in guns. Give me a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ break!!
First of all, you just lowered the bar from "gun enthusiast" to has an "interest in guns." Almost all boys have an interest in guns. When I I # a kid, every boy had a toy gun. But all that said, getting a present of X doesn't mean you're enthusiast of X. An uncle of mine once gate me a silver belt buckle as a birthday present. Yet, believe it or not, I am not a belt buckle enthusiast.
7. is by no means certain. "Bella Ciao" is an ITALIAN RESISTANCE anthem, and what a=Arth. said
You're right. It is by no means certain. But, come on, is the fact that he got a hunting rifle from his grandfather mean that it is certain that he is gun enthusiast? Obviously not. You have one standard for evidence that favors your preferred position and another for evidence that opposes it.
Wasn't aware of 8. But of course,
"8" being the statement that his mom made to the investigators that he had recently become more leftist. If you weren't aware of it, fair enough. But considering how widely that was reported, it raises the question of how biased your sources of information are.
Actually, I am more invested in following the evidence.
Good if true. But you are selective about how you treat evidence in favor of one side over the other.

That's an interesting one but of course it depends on her interpretation of his behaviour. It would scarcely be a surprise if she had heard him express a non-negative view of trans people and automatically categorised that as trans ally = woke = left, when it appears this is not a safe assumption.

the rifle was a one-of-a-kind Mauser, with very special expensive optics, a piece both father and grandfather recognized at a glance was theirs from grainy police photos.
Not the kind of weapon an mere "enthusiast" gets.

Nope, you started with the conclusion that he is a lefty. Then you are trying to shoe-horn and winnow any evidence to support that.
You don't think the shooter's motivation is probably related to the message of the victim?
I have no idea what his motivation was. He isn't talking anywhere near where we can hear.
I mean maybe he was just tryna impress Jodi Foster, but his stated motive was to stop Kirk from spreading hate.
That's a conclusion with no supporting evidence. For example, he may have thought Kirk was not hateful enough. Or he may have not liked his shirt, or his face, or his voice. Or he was just pointing his gun at Kirk for practice and it went off accidentally. Or he was off his tits on meth. Or he is cracked in the head. We just don't know at this stage.

He appears to have been pretty good at handling that rifle. Or at least, better than Thomas Matthew Crooks who took aim at Trump. However, Crooks was further away from his target, so there's that.

His MAGA Mormon mom? Does that raise no questions whatsoever about how biased your own sources of information are? By the way, one of the sources of information is his grandmother.

You too seem to be selective about how you treat evidence in favor of one side over the other, don't you?

Disney is losing subscribers over Jimmy Kimmel. What fans are saying as they hit 'cancel' (USA Today, Sep 19, 2025)
"Cancelled my Disney Plus and Hulu bundle. This isn't a slippery slope, it's a cliff, and Disney just went off it," another user on Reddit wrote. "We won't be going to Disney movies. Not anymore. No more parks. No more Star Wars toys and shirts. Nothing.

That's a conclusion with no supporting evidence.
I linked to the supporting evidence earlier, but here is it again.
For example, he may have thought Kirk was not hateful enough.
Robinson literally wrote, "I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out."

I think it is fair to conclude that Robinson believed Kirk "spreads too much hate" and that he took action to stop him from doing so any further.

Hey, that doesn't make him left. Could just mean he's decent person .. in a way.

Hey, that doesn't make him left.
It just makes him violently anti-right, yeah?

Robinson’s mother explained that over the last year or so, Robinson had become more political and had started to lean more to the left – becoming more pro-gay and trans-rights oriented. She stated that Robinson began to date his roommate, a biological male who was transitioning genders. This resulted in several discussions with family members, but especially between Robinson and his father, who have very different political views. In one conversation before the shooting, Robinson mentioned that Charlie Kirk would be holding an event at UVU, which Robinson said was a “stupid venue” for the event. Robinson accused Kirk of spreading hate.

Perhaps his mom is actually a Groyper, though.

Fascist Fight Clubs Go On Recruiting Spree In Wake Of Charlie Kirk's Murder (The Damage Report on YouTube, Sep 21, 2025 - 6:46 min.)
The same American-born neo-fascist fight clubs that are multiplying across the U.S. and globally have seized on the assassination of far-right commentator Charlie Kirk to lure new recruits with promises of revenge and racially charged camaraderie.

"Several active clubs and far-right figures acknowledged in social media posts that though Kirk was no true friend to the neo-Nazi and an accused agent of the Israeli government, his work helped spread far-right ideas to the general public and his promotion of white supremacy should not go unappreciated."

Or perhaps his mom is just Mormon MAGA:
Charlie Kirk Suspect’s Grandma Says Family Is All MAGA (Daily Beast, yahoo!news, Sep 12, 2025)
Although MAGA figureheads have been quick to point fingers at the left for Kirk’s death, Tyler’s grandmother, Debbie Robinson, 69, insisted that they come from a family of Trump supporters.
She spoke with the Daily Mail on Friday after news of Robinson’s arrest broke. “My son, his dad, is a Republican for Trump,” Debbie told the outlet. “Most of my family members are Republican. I don’t know any single one who’s a Democrat.”
(...)
“I’m just so confused,” Debbie said of her grandson’s arrest. “[Tyler] is the shyest person,” she said. “He has never, ever spoke politics to me at all.”
(...)
“The family member referenced a recent incident in which Robinson came to dinner prior to September 10, and in the conversation with another family member, Robinson mentioned Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU. They talked about why they didn’t like him and the viewpoints that he had,” Cox said.
Cox did not provide further details on how, exactly, Robinson had become more political in recent years.

But we can rely on the fact that young men always tell their mothers and grandmothers everything about their feelings, interests and ideas.
For instance, if Tyler Robinson had been in a relationship with a gender-transitioning person, he would have been open about it, wouldn't he?!
It's not something he wouldn't confide in his Mormon MAGA Memaw about, is it?

Grammy on Tyler: "He has never, ever spoke politics to me at all".

That certainly describes me and my peer group when I was in my 20s. Interested in everything in our immediate universe, and little outside of it. Not everyone lives and breathes the left/right dichotomy.

For instance, if Tyler Robinson had been in a relationship with a gender-transitioning person, he would have been open about it, wouldn't he?!
According to his mother, he was open about it to his parents, which was evidently off-putting to his father who has "very different political views" than his son.

Yeah. He could've just latched on to bits and pieces of ideology he liked, and been on his own little wavelength. Seeing as he declared himself an independent assassin when he was barely old enough to buy a beer, I think it's reasonable that 'Fruit Loopy' is his most likely position on the political spectrum.

The bf, Twiggs, apparently knew about Robinson engraving messages on the casings. I wonder if Twiggs is going to say "aw hey man, didn't see something like this coming. Don't we all engrave cryptic and violent sayings on live rounds before an afternoon at the range?"

Doesn't engraving things on a bullet risk causing it to malfunction? I'm no physicist but surely a smooth outside leads to better performance.
