Every day? Also the site mentions that the average visit is 10 minutes or so, which sounds like the time needed for porn to have its desired effect. Yes, there may be multiple visits from the same source.

Ten minutes is about what it would take to see a glimpse of the grotesque garbage that infests the site. I've found some decent things in the classic/vintage categories and some of the softer categories, but by and large I see nausea inducing aggression from participants who seem barely human, and sometimes barely conscious.

That would ban all kinds of content that adults have the right to produce and distribute legally, not just porn. The current definitions are loose and big-tent inclusive for reasons.

I don't understand this objection at all. You have pornographic magazines. You have laws that say, "don't provide these to minors." You could have a law that says "don't provide these to anyone", and it would ban the exact same material you already restrict, using the same definition you use to restrict it.

We don't have to redefine cigarettes, to ban them instead of restrict them. We don't have to redefine sex work, to ban it instead of restrict it. And we don't have to redefine porn, to ban it instead of restrict it.

There's nothing that would be included in a porn ban, that isn't already included in a porn restriction that uses the same definition and is already in force.

Sure, if you're aware that Pornhub is a thing and you're aware of what it's for. Children - by which I mean pre-puberty - don't generally go looking for porn. By the way you were speaking it seemed as though you were of the opinion that porn was two random clicks away from any website that caters to children, that children would reasonably be expected to already be on.

As soon as a child becomes aware that porn exists and what it's for, that's when it's time to have The Talk.

This is hyperbole. If I walk outside, I do not see porn. If I go to the shopping centre, I do not see porn. I do not see porn on billboards or on the sides of buses. Everywhere I look, there is no porn - unless I choose to look in the places where the porn is.

What is trash to one person is treasure to another. Grotesque garbage? I am so sick of pompous prudish individuals telling me what I can view. If you don't like it, don't look. In my opinion, the most vile trashiest books on this Earth are the Bible and the Quran. But you have the right to read them.

Your opinion is that we should ban all porn. You say it's for the children, but you acknowledge that a ban would not adequately protect children.

And that's your very best argument so far. You want to curtail a human right, without even solving the problem you're trying to solve.

You keep trying to appeal to an analogy with slavery, even though slavery isn't a human right. At this point, I kind of suspect you don't think freedom of expression is a human right either.

Or else you think that human rights are trivial things that can be discarded any time a free human enjoys their rights in a way you don't like.

I didn't say you haven't posted other crap. I DON'T CARE.

As I have said before, Sunday service and the Bible are much more dangerous and damaging to society than almost all the porn on Pornhub.

Sex workers don't burn people at the stake, they don't stone people. They don't murder millions of indigenous peoples all over the planet. They don't encourage actual slavery. They don't tell families to beat their children. They don't shun non-believers. The only slavery most engage in is role playing. They don't deny science. They don't prohibit blood transfusions. They don't peddle fairy tales as if they are fact. They don't tell people that evolution is false.

I know sex workers. People that make a living creating porn. None of which is done with minors. They are less offensive to me than the morons at the creation center telling people the Earth is 6,000 years old and dinosaurs lived alongside man.
