Merged Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University event. / Charlie Kirk Shot And Killed

He was the worst thing in the Judge Dredd movie. No, not the good Judge Dredd movie...
Yeah I know who he is: a washed-up never-was.

And to post up something like this:
He was our modern day Founding Father, OUR James Madison, OUR Thomas Jefferson, OUR Alexander Hamilton, OUR Benjamin Franklin.
And yes, one day he would have been our President.
I ask all Americans to dig in deep, listen, debate, treat others how YOU would want to be treated, and bring out your inner Charlie Kirk.
God Bless America!
Is mind-blowingly stupid, and demonstrates how low the bar is to be a right-wing "influencer" To think that bringing out your inner Charlie Kirk would make you empathetic ignores how Kirk felt about empathy.

RIP

It's interesting how this site is not wanting to address this. Had it been a notable liberal activist I'm sure the chattering class here would be talking more about it. Frankly I'm grateful to see there's not as much gloating as I anticipated even though I'm sure it's still there. This was one of the biggest political assassinations in the United States in a long time and it's been covered all across the news and in the White House and Congress but not here because..... reasons.
Once the liberal activist killer is apprehended I'll look forward to the excuse making here and any lack of condemnation in fact I'll expect Maga to be blamed regardless of who the shooter is. James RandI would be embarrassed by this site.
New phone; who dis?

His deitization is well underway. This site is irrelevant to that process.
I kinda feel like all of us should take a stance against the reification of political figures, regardless. I'm very concerned that we're in the midst of a political assassination, and a whole lot of people out there in the world are celebrating that someone they disliked was killed for holding the "wrong" political opinions. I'm also very concerned that a businessperson was assassinated in cold blood, and a whole lot of people out there are lauding the killer as somehow being the good guy - especially since the narrative that allows them to view Mangione as some noble vigilante is just flat out false. I'm not sanguine about the situation in the US right now, and if any of you have any sense, you should be taking a stand against divisive rhetoric from either side of this issue, and doing your damndest to get everyone to calm the ◊◊◊◊ down.

Now that is ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ funny, holy ◊◊◊◊.
I think Rachel made an excellent point. I suspect the glee would have been the same if Trump had died.

The Democratic Party, the media and academia vilified Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Big Bush, Little Bush, McCain and Romney, but grudgingly accepted them as part of the establishment. They were not going to get in the way of increasing the size of government, budgets, budget deficits and debt.

Then this non-establishment or anti-establishment fellow comes along, and those three institutions completely lose it. Including my brother, the coolest and calmest person I knew. I watched the news for a day and a half after that 2016 election and still surprised that I was able to endure that half day. I voted once in 1974 and told my brother that if I could go back and vote in that election, I would have voted for Trump. Not because of Trump, but because of the hysterical reaction from those "reporting" the news.

Your logic is impeccable. :ROFLMAO:

Revealed: Exactly What Charlie Kirk Shooter Wrote on Bullets

Investigators noted inscriptions that had been engraved on casings found with the rifle. Inscriptions on a fired casing read: “notices bulges” capital “O-W-O what’s this?” Inscriptions on the three unfired casings read: “hey fascist!” “catch!” Up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol, and three down arrow symbols. A second unfired casing read: “Oh Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Ciao, Ciao.” And a third unfired case read: “If you read this, you are gay LMAO.”

They must love Trump then, with the way he's accumulated sweeping government power and increased debt.

Let's play a game.

You post examples of people from the left encouraging or celebrating violence and I'll post the same from the right.

The person who can post the most examples from people of the most influence and power wins.

You start.

JFC, the most watched cable "news" is fox. They promote divisive rhetoric 24/7 and have no intention of calming the ◊◊◊◊ down.
