Trump's promised ICE raids have begun

One day after the Supreme Court lifted the ban on racial profiling, federal agents swarmed a car in Van Nuys.

Four masked agents with guns drawn yanked people out, slammed them to the ground, and pointed a weapon at a pregnant woman.

There is no justification for this. None.
Ah but you see they are brown people, that is perfect justification according to the supreme court.

Perhaps it is because they remember their own history they are so concerned. It is certainly true that in the last century every country was occupied by Nazi Germany or by the USSR or was communist excepting Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, UK, Ireland, Spain and Portugal. Spain was of course a fascist dictatorship. Portugal was a dictatorship, followed by a military coup for most of the century. Greece had a military dictatorship supported by the US as part of its policy of avoiding left wing democracies and favouring right wing military dictatorships (see also Iran).

You could argue that the only European countries that were democracies throughout the last century were Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Iceland, UK and Ireland (Ireland only becoming independent of the UK during the last century). Iceland only became independent following Danish occupation by Germany and its own occupation by the allies.
I'd knock Finland off the list as after their civil war they were a dictatorship under Mannerheim, and Iceland waan't a free country until after the second World War.

PS a part of the UK was under occupation between 1940 and the end of the war. While the Channel Islands are legally a crown dependancy, for all practical purposes they're an integral part of the UK.

I have not found out why those Koreans were working in the US illegally at all. Didn't their company secure visas and permits for their workers?
From what I read the raid was over a report of about four possible undocumented people working there, with no overt ethnicity given. As far as I can see SA-ICE just did their usual "round up everybody who's not presenting as a WASP male and call them 'illegals'" routine.

They aren't working fast enough it seems.

Watters: If they don't have the paperwork, they don't belong here. I'm sick and tired of having to deal with all these specific individuals. That’s what we mean by mass deportation. They are all going out. They are not going out fast enough. They should be going out way faster.

Has Watters the relevant papers? Asking for some masked friends.

ICE detain 4 car wash employees—all legal residents of U.S.

"It's not legal to take him because he's a resident," manager told agent.

"We're going to take him and check—if he's good we'll bring him back," agent said.

Handcuffed and taken away in white vans to unknown location.

"In other words, you're guilty of 'looking' illegal until you prove yourself innocent."

The raid occurred at Bixby Knolls Car Wash in Long Beach, California.

"We live in a country where protesters get shot" is not the flex you seem to think it is.

I don't know, they love Trump and he always thought that China was strong to do the Tiananmen square massacre. That is a selling point to conservatives, I mean why should we be limited to just running down protestors in our cars?

If we are being pedantic the Channel Islands belong to the Dukedom of Normandy, not the English King. They were never part of England let alone the UK, that is why they never became part of the EU. Also the democratic credentials of some of the Channel Islands ie Sark remains dubious

I'd agree that Finland and Iceland are poor examples. That leaves the UK/Ireland, Switzerland and Sweden as the only European countries to have been democracies throughout the twentieth century. I also think that the fact that women didn't finally achieve political equality until 1990 makes even Switzerland on the dubious side of democracy.

There wasn't universal suffrage in the UK until 1928.

"But we won't allow him to go and get any documentation."

Illegal alien child rapist and carjacker was ordered deported but Cuba refused. Biden allowed him to stay.
Last week he beheaded a hotel manager in front of the man's wife and son then kicked the guy's head around in the parking lot before tossing it in a dumpster.

This is who the left is fighting for.

So, why didn't the fat clown detain or deport him?
