JFC. The felon and adjudicated rapist who posted this pardoned dozens of violent criminals that tried to overturn an election. The press, the cannot allow him to get away with this gaslighting. He is a convicted criminal, and he should not be allowed to forget it.

That's pretty much a given, of course. Truth matters far less to the right wing than how they can pretend that things confirm some preferred narrative or other. Like how kitty litter was brought into some schools as part of emergency response measures in case of a school shooter - a social problem that's very much the right-wing's creation, supported and protected by those like Charlie Kirk - and the right wing spread the narrative that it was liberals just being unreasonably encouraging to kids who identified as cats. If you didn't believe that tale, of course, they might be happy to direct you to a YouTube video of a kid identifying as a cat to prove their claim. Might, as in I've had that tried on me, nevermind how easily it falls apart if one even begins to subject it to actual scrutiny.

It's the usual projection, of course. As for the press, "should not" is not the same as "cannot." As for the he should not be allowed to forget it bit... meh. I don't care so much about that lifelong BSer and criminal with mental issues. Rather, it's those who stupidly, ignorantly, or evilly voted for the murderous criminal that shouldn't be allowed to forget it.

This is disturbing.

The whole country feels on edge, and I've been dreading a Reichstag fire type incident to nudge us towards insurrection or even civil war. This is probably not that, but some on the right are already calling for revenge. No telling how quickly a tit-for-tat could escalate.

I hope Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donnell et el have heightened security.

I think it might have begun with the Minnesota legislators getting shot, one of whon died today.
This assisnation could be another Archduke Fredinand and set off a stream of events that will lead to war.
I don;t know what the right means by revenge. If you mean arrest and prosecure the killer yes, but if they mean retaliatory killings then this country is going down the drain even quicker then I thought.
I noticeid how the right tried to blow over the Minnesota killings.
I would go farther and ay that Liberal politicans and celebs should arem themselves.

I was reading some of the Grauniad reports on this speech where they said that he was at "a christian museum", and I was wondering was it the museum where they display stolen (some bought directly from ISIS) and faked artifacts. Your reposted clip shows that yes, yes it was.
