Maybe, maybe not, but you know what the right wing rage machine is going to claim.it’s possible. to me it’s just as likely that some right wing lunatic shot him as it is anyone else for any other reason.
At this point we don't know who shot him or why. But as noted just above, it does seem pretty easy to spin everything so that it's Biden's fault or woke trans peoples' fault.it’s possible. to me it’s just as likely that some right wing lunatic shot him as it is anyone else for any other reason.
It already has. Not unsurprisingly it's being blamed on the left. The rhetoric is only going to ramp up.

Assassinations are not self nor community defense.
This country is not at war, and we should *all* strive for it not to be.
Violence begets violence and it is *never acceptable* to instigate it, and is a tragedy when it has to be done in self defense.
It is to be avoided at almost all costs.
What happened today is unacceptable.
Awful.
Wrong.
We must do better as a society. All of us.
I'd speculate that the shooter isn't a local.I'm somewhat surprised since Utah County is generally a safe space for some pretty right-of-center views. No details locally on the ground here, except that the injury is serious not life-threatening, and the suspect is in custody.
"I think it’s worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational.”
Is that the guy that blew up a .50 cal?Joking aside.
I agree with Karl from InRangeTV
Karl is on the Left and gets a lot of hate from the 'gun community' who largely lean Right for his stance on politics and social issues.

No idea who the dude is, but it seems like his "supporters?" should be pleased that he is doing his part to uphold the American constitution. He did say gun deaths were "worth it" to protect the 2A.
I saw one video that was pretty graphic; it made me sick, though I found his views to be despicable. ◊◊◊◊ like this is only going to get worse, as will be the response. The U.S. is so ◊◊◊◊◊◊.

We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!
And venting frustrations is often counter-productive to trying to effect change.Joking aside.

Apparently not.From CNN:
A suspect is in custody, the university said in a statement. Kirk was invited by a student group and was speaking when a shot was fired from a campus building about 200 yards away."

UVU spokesperson Scott Trotter released a statement saying the suspect is not yet in custody.
“On September 10, 2025, at 12:20 a single shot rang out in the quad near the food court on the Utah Valley University Orem Campus as Mr. Charlie Kirk began speaking at his planned rally. We can confirm that Mr. Kirk was shot, but we don’t know his condition. The suspect is not in custody. Police are still investigating Campus is closed for the rest of the day.”
Initially it was believed that a shooter was in custody, but officials now say the suspect is not in custody.
