...Shall Not Be Infringed

Are there any countries in which citizens aren’t allowed to own guns?
Despite what the NRA/rightwing likes to trot out, guns are NOT 'banned in Australia'...

There are regulations and restrictions that you have to abide by- do that, and you can have as many guns as you want....

Normally we have practically zero actual gun violence here- the rise of the 'sovcits' has been a major outlier in regards to murders by guns- and I think that any sovcit in Australia should be thinking REAL hard about their beliefs- because they are going to be under the microscope from now on....

If someone threatens me with a gun, I will attack them with my banana. Or some other fruit, if I've eaten the banana.
That would be a waste. Eat the banana, throw it on the floor and they’ll slip on the banana skin. Do make sure you record it on your phone, with a bit of luck posting that on TikTok will go viral and you’ll make a few thousands. With that money you’ll be able to afford to buy two bananas.

Good job, too. Sounds like you'd blow your relatives head off with a shotgun.
Naa, I have good aim with a tight choke and a slug.

But based on your posts, you'd rather let your brother die than risk hurting a violent armed criminal.

Dont need much marksmanship with a shotgun. :)
When someone is holding someone at knife point that's often an indication that they are quite close together, from your scenario and the answer you give above you are saying you are not concerned if your friend or relative is harmed by you as long as you get to fire your shotgun at the knife wielder.

Hope you know what's behind your target. Only cops get off for shooting innocent neighbors through walls!

The way I see it: guns are banned by default, but citizens can apply for an exception.

Whereas in the US, guns are permitted by default, and the state must apply for exceptions.

These are two very different paradigms. I much prefer the paradigm where the citizens are permitted everything by default, and it's the government that must apply for exceptions to this rule. I don't really understand, and struggle to respect, people who would prefer to live the other way around.

Pretty much the standard behaviour for any ammosexual....

No ◊◊◊◊ given about anyone else, as long as they get to 'play toughguy'
