Losers. He cannot bring himself even to pretend to give a ◊◊◊◊ about people who risked and lost limbs or their mental health in service of their country. But just because he has zero sympathy for them doesn't mean he doesn't find them somehow very disturbing.

In extremely unequal societies, the very rich are surely not this freaked out by the very poor. That's just the way things are. You stroll past beggars every day. They don't smell that great but <shrug> they are always with us.

I'm not going anywhere with this, I'm just musing on what seems like another Trump weirdness. Probably doesn't tell us anything, except that he's a complete horse's arse, but we already knew.

There was an episode of the 1980s Twilight Zone reboot in which a man who fled to Canada to avoid going to Vietnam is confronted by an alternate version of himself who went to Vietnam and lost his legs.
Maybe on some level he sees what he could have become if Daddy's money hadn't kept him safe at home, dodging STDs in "his own personal Vietnam".
