So basicly, Brave Sir Ron da's problem is that too many Floridans are represented by their governmnt right now. I knew he was stupid but didn't realise that he was so proud of his stupidity as to openly advertise it.

I guess the argument is that the population has been artificially inflated by a flawed census which has included illegal immigrants and that as a result, the districting is all wrong.

The illegal immigrants live in cities so urban districts have more representation than their legal population would justify and conversely, rural districts are underrepresented. The redistricting will take care of this and the GOP hasn't even noticed that the effect will be to give them a larger number of seats for the same number of votes - that's how fundamentally honest they are. /s

The Republicans have been looking to disenfranchise Democratic leaning groups. The "flawed census" argument is a superficially plausible way for them to do this.

Putting the finger even more firmly on the electoral scales. The Democrats already have to poll several percent more in the popular vote to achieve representative parity, this will only exacerbate the situation with rural states having a disproportionately greater House representation and districts being redrawn to ensure a GOP majority even if they lose the popular vote by a considerable margin.

Which Nicholas Maduro? There are a lot of them in the world. So if my mate Nikky Mads and I rocked up and had him arrested, could we have the $50 mill? Even after they found out he was the wrong guy and let him go?

Being innocent is no reason to assume he isn't guilty, once the arrest has been made and the sentence passed the evidence will be arranged to suit the verdict.

I remember an article in Cracked or Mad Magazine decades ago, about either computer errors with the technology at the time or the government in general. The part I remember was:
"Thinking John Smith, John Smith Junior, and John Smith Jr are three different people, two of whom have never paid income tax."
