Cuomo defeated in NYC Democratic Mayoral Primary

Or maybe I am simply ignoring your diversion from the actual topic of discussion, which is Cuomo losing the primary.
Oh, OK. So then why have you been making it about some minor mistake Momdami made for the last 3 pages?

And how is it that every time someone points out that Trump making threats to arrest Momdami being a much bigger concern you throw out some non-response like the above?

WTF are you talking about????
He is talking about one of the two quite separate issues involved here. Or what should be two separate issues, except that many have combined them.

One is whether Mamdani is a good candidate. The other, which some seem to be confusing with the first, is whether Mamdani should HAVE HIS CITIZENSHIP WITHDRAWN AND BE DEPORTED! Has that issue completely escaped your notice?

These are separate issues, for sure, and you're quite within all sorts of boundaries to think that Mamdani's announced policies and his history make him a poor candidate. But in the meantime, the Trump administration and their minions have quite publicly announced their desire to strip him of his citizenship and deport him, and that has, whether you like it or not, become a part of the campaign, because it seems none of his opponents have the integrity and courage to separate their opposition to his policies from their opposition to his citizenship, which I continue to believe is a deficiency of character so severe as to disqualify them from any consideration for any public office.

So far, it seems, you have simply ignored the issue, and because it has become such an important issue, and so intimately associated for many with the opposition to Mamdani's candidacy, it would be helpful if a person as adamantly opposed to Mamdani as you appear to be would make your position on the deportation issue explicit. I find it difficult to understand why you would not, if you do, in fact, reject the idea that he should be deported.

If you want to stop talking about Momdani lying about his race, I guess we can for now.

No, but the other is a diversion to try to stop discussing about Momdani lying about his race so as to hopefully get an AA step up.

When did Mamdani or Cuomo abuse power?
What planet are you posting from? The abuse of power in question is that of the ever-present, ever-threatening people who are actually IN power, threatening to solve a controversial election by exiling one of its participants! Do you really imagine, did you ever really imagine, could you ever really imagine, that the accusation of abuse of power was directed at Mamdani, who rather conspicuously has no power? On the other hand, Andrew Cuomo certainly once did, and while one's definitions might be a bit malleable, sexual scandals involving a powerful government official during his official tenure might at least be conceivably connected with abuse of power.

Or not an issue given that he is an American born in Africa and hence an African American
You're obviously not American, and therefore don't understand that "African-American" is a neologism that is synonymous with black African. Or to use an older term, "Negro". Which Mamdami clearly is not.

Not really "black African." "African-American" means black American decendant of slaves. Americans know that. We joke that Elon Musk is African-American but really, in the American usage, he's not. Neither is Mamdami.

There is a debate in the USA as to wether immigrants from Africa and their descendants, people like Obama and Kamala, should be considered African-American or should only descendants of black American slaves have such label. Its up to them to decide.

Either way, Mamdami is not black, or African-American, or Negro, etc etc..

That's a thoughtful answer to a complex situation - so exactly the sort of thing that most people have no time for or interest in.

They want the certainty of "African" = dark skinned.

People with a predominantly non-African ancestry born in Africa - not really African
People who are North African and not particularly dark skinned - not really African

Indeed anyone who doesn't fit their idea of African - not really African

For those people he's equivocating and digging the hole deeper. He needs to admit that he lied about being African, withdraw from the mayoral race and self deport back to Africa.
Unless you're a white South African who hates black people. Then you're the "truest of Africans".

YOUR PRESIDENT OPENLY SUGGESTED THAT HE WOULD STRIP A POLITICAL OPPONENT OF CITIZENSHIP AND DEPORT HIM SHOULD HE (BE LIKELY TO) WIN.

I feel this needs repeating a number of times in this inane fixation about semantics about race.
This is the same president that has shown utter contempt for any laws and conventions with a cadre of armed thugs acting out his wishes.
That is what Hercules wants you to forget. He wants you thinking of an inane and pointless non-issue so that the nazism slides right past.

It does seem to follow the extreme right wing textbook. Find something trivial to be faux-outraged about, focus only on that and ignore the fact that civil rights are being attacked and stripped along the way.
