Who should run for the Dems?

i don’t agree. but to vote for a republican you’d have to at least be comfortable with racists, sexists, and homophobes running the government.

Now I get it. I don't talk to MAGA people, and why should I? But they see us democrats differently. They see themselves as working class, and Trump is keeping them cheap illegal workers out. The democrats, they see us as the non-working people. Bums and academics. Them academics just pretend to do work, like research. For what? To publish a paper on transgender mice.

From about 1940 to about 1975 or so, the majority of Black voters were apparently quite comfortable with voting for the party of Jim Crow. There's nothing new about folks voting for a party with extremely objectionable folks in it. In the US your choice that or to not vote.
 
It was Kennedy who campaigned on "the debt has been paid" convincing black Americans that they no longer needed to vote the "party of Lincoln" out of gratitude. About that time Republicans executed their Southern Strategy and seized the racist mantle from the southern Dems.

Presidents actually do stuff, and tend to have relatively low approval ratings as a result. All AOC has to do to clear that low bar is say stuff that people like to hear. Let's see how her approval ratings look after her first term as president, when she's done a lot of stuff and pissed a lot of people off, and someone else who hasn't done anything yet is saying all the right words from the sidelines.
 
I'm sure it will involve lots of money going to the same consultants
