Trump's Second Term

the 2nd Trump Term Honeymoon Period is officially over. No Peace deal in Gaza or Ukraine, no tariffs, no savings through DOGE cuts, more military spending, more spending on immigration without a significant rise in deportations compared to Biden, massive problems for farmers because of USAID/deportations, no respect from the world, no trust in the US economy.
I saw this on another forum and I liked it. (Laughing to keep from crying.)

MAGA = Morons Are Governing America.

And still I see trumpkins in comments threads defending him by saying he's enacting the policies he ran on and won the election for. In their heads, DOGE did a bigly beautiful job cutting waste, and the rising prices are all Biden's fault. I guess they love all the cruelty, too.

We don't need public transportation. Good people do not use it. And it's dirty anyway.

What a terrifying world they must imagine they live in. Hiding in fear of their fellow citizens. I suppose if you literally never use public transport, your only experience of it will be TV and movies which would give you the impression your chances of getting mugged were about 50:50.

The problem is, this particular blowhard, Sean Duffy, is the moron trump appointed US Secretary of Transportation. Not too good.

Donald has had a 'major win' in his powerful lawsuit against the corrupt Pulitzer Prize and their award to the NY Times.
From what I have seen so far, this "major win" is, where he is suing the Pulitzer prize board for defamation, simply the court declining the defendants an appeal to pause the case while Trump, the plaintiff, is still president.

So Trump must now proceed with the case, and soon or risk contempt. Hopefully it will lead to enforced court appearances for him yet again, and a highly embarrassing failure to win.

For now, the decision threatens to undercut the administration’s efforts to reach trade agreements globally since the president is using the prospect of boundless tariffs — enacted on his own, without congressional approval — as a bargaining chip in negotiations with roughly 18 countries. Those deals are still under negotiation, and some of Mr. Trump’s top aides had told the court in recent days that an adverse ruling could imperil the talks.

Oh my, how unfortunate that would be.

As someone who studies human geography and is really interested in city planning, I see that argument a lot in comment threads. 'But but cities are crime-ridden ◊◊◊◊ holes and public transport is dirty and unsafe with few departures!!' As if those things were laws of nature and not social issues in dire need of solving.

Also, yes, I imagine many of them have not gone near a bus or city in their life. I rode the bus when I lived in Houston, it was clean, on time, and used by high school students, families with kids, what have you.

The leaders of those countries he is alleged negotiating with are all having a good laugh.

The count is more exact if you allow the "roughly" bracket to include zero.

Its true. I take the train into Manhattan every day and I get murdered at least twice a week.
