Who should run for the Dems?

Cant really love America, democracy, freedom, womens' rights, defending international institutions and allies, and yet say you would vote for Trump over AOC. AOC isn't perfect but she is light years better than trump.

I think AOC is wrong about most things, but she wouldn't be running a constant series of stress tests on the constitution, the world economy, and international relations. So, I'd vote for her over Trump if it came down to it.

Bernie, AOC, I'd vote for both over Trump.

Get real, both of you. Hillary won the popular vote, and only lost the electoral vote because she insulted half the electorate and failed to campaign in the most important swing states. Kamala never had a chance...not because she's black of female, but because she was a terrible candidate—a woke empty suit who half the time couldn't complete a sentence.
Get real? Take a look at yourself. You're a conservative voter that sees woke under the bed. None of what you said about Kamala is remotely near the truth. "Couldn't complete a sentence"? That's hilarious - you obvious only saw Fox News mashups.

Your whataboutism red herring notwithstanding, I have listened to both speak, and Harris makes Trump look like a Rhodes scholar.

Here are two transcripts of speeches made during the campaign. One is by Donald Trump, one is by Kamala Harris. Both are sourced from the same transcription service, so any potential biases due to the source apply to both. Can you tell which is which?

They better not. I don’t think they’re going to get your job. I’ll fight for you. They’re not getting your job. Nobody’s getting his job. But I will tell you, they’re taking African American jobs and Hispanic American jobs. You know who else they’re really affecting? The unions. And I have to tell you, we have a lot of Teamsters here. Do we have a lot of Teamsters? We have Teamsters, and I think we’re doing 89% or something with the Teamsters. And they have a great leader. I hope Sean is listening right now. But we have a shot at even getting it from the top. I think we have a shot. But we have great Teamsters. They worked for me a lot in New York because they did the concrete trucks and other things, and they were incredible.

Well, I have a very different vision. I have a very different vision for our economy. I believe we need to grow our middle class and make sure our economy works for everyone. For people like the people in the neighborhood where I grew up and the hardworking Americans I meet every day across our nation. So I call my vision the opportunity economy, and it’s about making sure everyone can find a job and more. Because frankly, having a job, I believe in our ambition and aspiration should be baseline and we should aspire and have the ambition and plan to do more. I want Americans and families to be able to not just get by, but be able to get ahead. To thrive, be able to thrive. I don’t want you to have to worry about making your monthly rent if your car breaks down. I want you to be able to save up for your child’s education, to take a nice vacation from time to time. I want you to be able to buy Christmas presents for your loved ones without feeling anxious when you’re looking at your bank statement.

Which of these is clearer and more coherent? Which uses complete sentences and which is disjointed and rambling?

I actually had some trouble finding a paragraph of Trump's that didn't mention himself or otherwise clearly identify who the speaker was. Here are both full transcripts:

Finally I'd like to draw your attention to these two linked episodes of the Know Rogan Experience, in particular the second one, in which Marsh and Cecil really break down Trump's speech patterns and why it is not clear complete sentences "weaving" in and out, it is in fact random incoherent rambling.

Your talking out of your ass. I'm way left of center both socially and economically and have voted Democratic my whole life. I voted for Trump largely because the alternative was a pro-Hamas woke airhead.

Way left of centre? You don't act like it.

For a start, Harris wasn't woke, pro-Hamas, or an airhead. No need to argue, I know you'd disagree, this isn't the thread for that.

If you've been a Democrat, would you vote for AOC if she was up against Trump?

In what world are we faced with that choice? People are still telling themselves that Trump is going to run? He's not. I get that he will hint for the next two years that he can, but he's wrong and he knows it.

Way left of centre?
Yes. Up in the far upper left corner of every political attitudes test I've ever taken.

She was and is definitely woke and airhead (or, if you prefer, an empty suit). And if she isn't pro-Hamas, then why did she warn Israel not to attack Rafah, when that is where the head of Hamas was hiding and was finally killed? Failure to eliminate Hamas, means that Hamas continues its endless rocket attacks on Israel, rearms, and re-enacts October 7. How is that not being pro-HamasÜ
If you've been a Democrat, would you vote for AOC if she was up against Trump?
No, because she is überwoke and pro-Hamas.

No, because she is überwoke and pro-Hamas.
"I condemn any individuals associating with the brutal terrorist organization Hamas, which has vowed to annihilate the State of Israel and kill Jews." - Kamala Harris

"The violence perpetrated by Hamas on October 7th, murdering more than 1,200 people and kidnapping hundreds of innocent men, women, and children, was a crime against humanity and an atrocity that will shock generations to come." - AOC

Yeah, that's what Harris said too—out of one side of her mouth.

It's more likely, as anyone who is not a fanatic would realize, that Harris did not want to see mass civilian loss of life. The fact that the civilian loss of life is of no concern to you does not mean that being concerned about it makes you "überwoke" (nice to see you using the appropriate German there).
