Trump's Second Term

Here's another of those... things that are unpleasant to see.

House-Passed One Big Beautiful Bill Includes $300M FEMA Carve-Out for All Trump Properties
SEC. 60004. STATE AND LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT PRESIDENTIAL RESIDENCE PROTECTION.

(a) PRESIDENTIAL RESIDENCE PROTECTION.—In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, for fiscal year 2025, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $300,000,000, to remain available until September 30, 2029, for the reimbursement of extraordinary law enforcement personnel costs for protection activities directly and demonstrably associated with any residence of the President that is designated pursuant to section 3 of the Presidential Protection Assistance Act of 1976 (Public Law 94–524) to be secured by the United States Secret Service.

(b) AVAILABILITY.—Funds under subsection (a) shall be available only for costs that a State or local agency—

(1) incurred or incurs on or after July 1, 2024;

(2) can demonstrate to the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency as being —
(A) in excess of the costs of normal and typical law enforcement operations;
(B) directly attributable to the provision of protection described in such subsection; and
(C) associated with a non-governmental property designated pursuant to section 3 of the Presidential Protection Assistance Act of 1976 (Public Law 94–524) to be secured by the United States Secret Service; and

(3) certifies to the Administrator as being for protection activities requested by the Director of the United States Secret Service.

$300 million stolen from FEMA specifically for "extraordinary law enforcement personnel costs" for Trump and his potential places of residence? :talk034:

As a small aside, Democrats in the House were indeed fighting back against a lot of the horrible stuff in the bill. Here's a link to a round up of some of that.

And besides, only 30.5% of registered voters voted for the fat clown, and to me, that's a good approximation of the number of stupid people in the US,
You should also those who didn't vote among the list of stupid people. Some were Trump supporters and others were either too apathetic to stop Trump or didn't want to vote for a woman.

You can if you want to, but I'm not willing to assume that they are---at least not as stupid as those who actually voted for the fat clown and continue to support the egotistical, lying, vindictive POS.

Depends on whose environment. The billionaires' environment is the field of immunity surrounding them, keeping the riffraff at a distance and allowing them to exploit the earth. There's an agency for that.

Imagine a scorched Earth, peppered with oil wells & smoke beltching factories surrounded by shanty towns for workers, and a few miles away in the pitted, broken desert and surrounded by 20ft electrified barbed wire fences stands a perfect luxury golf resort for the billionaires. Protected.

He's really into stealth. We could pull off that invisible F-35 in the parade plan.

Musk has an obsession with stealth planes too, part of his offspring's ridiculous name is the designation of the predecessor to the Blackbird.
