General UK politics VIII - The Last Tory

Mine at three of the schools I went to: Boris Johnson (same class as me*); MPs Oona King, Jeff Ennis, David & Ed Miliband; all of N-Dubz; Danny Woodgate from Madness; serial killers John Duffy and David Mulcahy; Steve McFadden; John Barnes; Geoffrey Boycott.

*if my evil stepfather hadn't burnt all my childhood photos, I'd probably have a class photo featuring him with me. Perhaps not so evil after all!

Apparently if the King won't dissolve parliament and the police won't arrest Starmer for treason it's up to the people to rise up and remove him by force if necessary.

Better to be a poor master than a rich slave apparently.
Sorry but again, please could you attribute these things.

Wilson's school -
Michael Caine, actor
Harry Golombek, chess master and Bletchley Park code breaker
A few minor(ish) footballers and actors.
Me

Richmond Sausages are excellent.
We will have to agree to differ. When I ate meat sausages I found them bland with a paste-like consistency. I preferred a more highly spiced sausage with a higher meat content.

Their veggie sausages are very similar IMO; bland with an unpleasant texture.

There are no famous alumni listed for my school on Wikipedia. AFAIK the closest we came was Eric Gates, journeyman footballer.

They're very much a product of Britain's post-war rationing cuisine.

Over the course of the last 450 years my school has produced a few alumni who gained renown for going abroad and massacring native tribesmen, but nobody famous in the last century or so.

Levison Wood went to my old high school, although I'd left a couple of years before he started. He was in the same year as my now sister-in-law.
There's also Oscar winner Rachel Shenton and Olympic champion Adam Peaty. Other than a couple of former (and one current) Stoke City and Port Vale players, I can't think of anyone else.

So good economic news, new trade deals, finally taking a harder line over Israel, and all of it will spun as a disaster by the far right and the hard left.

They are ideal to have in a bun with an egg on top.

On the deal with the EU, I have been making gammons angry when they say Starmer has 'no mandate' or it isn't what people voted for by pointing out that in the 2024 Manifesto it says "Labour will work to improve the UK's trade and investment relationship with the EU, by tearing down unnecessary barriers to trade."

They didn't care about manifestos when the Tories were ignoring theirs or Reform Ltd didn't have one, why would they start now? Anyway, reading is hard.😡
