FIRE also receives support from the National Philanthropic Trust, Jack Dorsey's StartSmall and the Hugh Hefner foundation, organizations that lean left of center. This spectrum of support is exactly what I would expect: principled conservatives and principled liberals both care about freedom of expression.

Source Watch was rated as mostly factual but also strongly left biased by Mediabiasfactcheck. If anything, I would take their words with a dollop or two of skepticism.

First, I think that it should be noted that the mostly factual rating isn't due to accuracy, but rather -
Is SourceWatch credible? Yes, but they are one-sided in their reports, and this bias must be considered.

It's fair to recommend that skepticism be applied, certainly, but that does not negate the points actually made by them or suggest that they're actually inaccurate.

Second, I think that it should be noted that, as I said in what you quoted, whether to agree or disagree with any particular argument made should not be dependent on views of how they lean. I am in alignment with them when it comes to what you posted of what they said regarding Harvard's situation, either way. I'm pretty sure that I've cited FIRE on occasion, as well, for what that's worth. That doesn't negate either my first point or the next one, though.

Third, it is entirely reasonable to harbor distrust for groups that employ deceitful measures to achieve harmful ends, even if those means and ends are being justified by being profitable for a few. Those that are created by, support, and are supported by those groups are also entirely reasonable to distrust, as is the case with FIRE, even when also supported by others and have ostensibly noble goals. When there's good reason to believe that the groups that created them, support them, and are supported by them have values that are not in alignment with the ostensibly noble goals being espoused, there's even more cause for distrust, as is again the case with FIRE. Once more, this does not negate the second point made, but it does make Donal's distrust entirely understandable.

President Donald Trump’s nominee to be the U.S. Attorney for Washington, DC did not disclose his 100-plus appearances on Russian state TV on a Senate questionnaire ahead of his confirmation hearing, reported The Washington Post on Wednesday.

The bombshell story by Spencer S. Hsu and Aaron Schaffer revealed Ed Martin’s over 150 different appearances on RT and Sputnik – propaganda arms of the Russian government. The report noted that Martin, who is currently the interim U.S. attorney for D.C., appeared on the networks “as a guest commentator from August 2016 to April 2024, according to a search of their websites and the Internet Archive’s database of television broadcasts.” Additionally, the Post scooped the fact that “Martin did not disclose the appearances last month on a Senate Judiciary Committee questionnaire, which asks nominees to list all media interviews. Analysis of television archives suggests he went on RT and Sputnik more often than on any major cable network during that span.”

Will Trump be able to groom a follower for 2028? Important goals will take years more.

They still have a mission in 2028, finish the job:
1 remove every foreigner who has not had at least a green card 10 years.
2 remove every trans woman athlete from every team. Even frisbee golf.

Other stuff like Social Security will be gone by 2028.
