Merged Due process in the US

Its not accurate that a fence jumper who was watched by Border Patrol has the same level and avenues of Due Process as someone who's ancestors came on the Mayflower.

Obviously the natural born citizen has a ton more Due Process avenues.
OK, quote where in the consitution a tourist is a lesser person than a citizen. I believe the word person covers tourist.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Judge Boasberg says he could hold Trump administration in contempt of court

He said he could hold the Trump administration in contempt of court for "willful disregard" of an order to halt the departure of deportation flights carrying more than 200 people to El Salvador last month.

"The Court does not reach such conclusion lightly or hastily; indeed, it has given Defendants ample opportunity to rectify or explain their actions. None of their responses has been satisfactory,"

The administration could avoid a contempt finding, or "purge" itself of contempt, if they provide an explanation of their actions and come into compliance with the original order issued last month, Boasberg said on Wednesday.

If the administration does not provide the requested information by the 23 April deadline, Boasberg will then seek to identify the individual people who ignored the order to stop the deportations.

A non-citizen can be grabbed by ICE. ICE cannot grab a US citizen. State police and other authorities would step in if they tried such a thing. And if by some crazy chance a citizen was accidentally deported, the US State Department and embassy will have his back.

Pretty sure I can narrow it down for him. Hell, we can probably put together a list of willing accomplices.

How do you determine who is or isn't citizen? And no, ICE can't go around grabbing anyone they deem a non-citizen. They (ostensibly) need a specific reason.
State police and other authorities would step in if they tried such a thing.
Wouldn't hold me breath for that.

I am a US citizen. If ICE attempts to grab me, am I allowed to shoot them? Assuming there are no state police or other authorities to step in of course.

That's an interesting question.

I am a 3rd generation American.

If ICE tries to grab me, i tell them i am a 3rd generation American and they say they don't care cuz I support Palestine, am I allowed to defend myself? Maybe.

No. Due process is a guarantee regardless of who you are, where you came from, or how you might have gotten into trouble.

Obviously the natural born citizen has a ton more Due Process avenues.
I'm disturbed by the prospect that you think any of that should somehow condition a constitutional right. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what a right is, and it's leading you to sound like Trump.

Begs the question that she was being colloquial. The administration has explicitly invented a criminal punishment that does not apply to failing to register as an alien.

Oh come on Jay, you know that if they say something stupid, fascistic, economically illiterate, counter to law or constitution, an admission of crime or simply incomprehensible, then obviously it was colloquial, or a joke, or don't listen to what they're saying look at the what they're... Hold on, no, don't do that either.

Just stating facts. I voted against trump twice and i want him in chains.

Just stating facts.
No, you are not. You don't seem to understand how a constitutional guarantee is meant to apply. And strangely, you're misinterpreting it in exactly the same way as the Trump administration while trying to argue against due process for migrants.

I voted against trump twice and i want him in chains.
You say this, but then you offer bad faith arguments that are largely in line with the Trump administration policies.

Wrong again.

So judge wants to hold Trump in contempt for not turning around the two flights that were sent to El Salvador. He says he may recommend criminal charges.

#1. President cannot be charged with a crime.

#2. All the lower level staff who conspired can simply be pardoned by Trump.

This will go nowhere. Its up to the people and Congress to decide to act, or not.
