Merged Due process in the US

It looks to me that it is you who doesn't know how it works. It isn't very difficult to understand but (just for you) I'll walk you through it. Trump won the Democratic election. True? Or false? It was the Americans who voted Trump into office. True? Or false? Is Hercule American? That was my question. Are you beginning to see the light? Oh that's nice but, if you're just making a really dumb and obstinate argument for the sake of getting attention ..............
I didn't vote for Trump. And no, i don't have to honor his unpatriotic ass.

Yeah, real laws are picky like that.
Again, I don't think the press secretary using the word "crime" colloquially implies that the Trump administration is exceeding its authority and inventing new crimes.

It's not like the administration invented the 30 day deadline, the consequence, or the people affected. All of that is spelled out clearly in the relevant law.

Actually, in this case, they have invented a crime out of thin air. People who overstay their visas or violate their visa restrictions do not face a jury and judge.

Sorry, but if you want to gaslight someone, you need to have some sort of emotional leverage over them, and you have none over me. And your Socratic attempts are hobbled by the fact that your argument still falls short of even being charitably characterized as 'specious'. Do you really expect anyone other than another Trump Cult sycophant to agree to the magical thinking required to conclude that all dissenting votes are transformed into assenting votes in a puff of logic? You really can't offer anything more than to assert that because 1.48% more people voted for Trump, I and everyone else who voted against him should just pretend that we wholeheartedly support a racist sexual predator who has failed at business after business, been convicted of numerous frauds and scams, shows clear signs of serious cognitive decline, and can't stop talking about what a hot piece of ass his own daughter is (to name but a few issues)?

There isn't any 'light' to be seen in your argument. It's still just pathetic and desperate.

What criminal punishment have they invented? Where in the EO is that invention recorded?
Basically they lied. You cannot be fined of imprisoned if you fail to register after 30 days. Its literally a lie. The most that can happen to you is be deported, which is not a criminal penalty.

They literally created a new crime out of thin air.

The court could order that an attempt to right this wrong is made, but probably not how.
The state could also be ordered to pay reparations, like a sum for each day of imprisonment?
If he was a US citizen mistakenly sent abroad that would be one thing. But he is a Salvadorian sent back to El Salvador. His country can do whatever they want with him. All we can do is ask and offer sanctions if they refuse, but why would we do all this for a non-American? What is soo special about this guy? Did he serve in the US Armed Forces? Volunteer at VA hospitals? Is he a member of a persecuted minority group?

He was sent there in direct opposition to an existing court ruling. The issue at hand has far less to do with him, personally, compared to upholding things like due process.

Pardon my ignorance but I've been missing a piece of this jigsaw puzzle.

He's in El Salvador because that's where Trump's goons sent him. Why is he in prison?

In short, because the Trump Administration claimed, without any convictions or reasonable evidence, that he was a gang member and because the US is now paying El Salvador to jail deportees. He's received a bit more coverage because his deportation was brazenly and unambiguously illegal, to the point where the Trump Administration has had no real choice but to acknowledge that they made a mistake. Given that they've openly admitted to error, there's an expectation that they should work to correct that error.

The idea that someone who fails to register as an alien within 30 days is "a crime punishable by fines, imprisonment, or both," per the President's official spokesperson....
Yep, they literally pulled this out of their collective MAGA asses. No judge would enforce this as these criminal penalties do not exist.

So Donald can send anyone he likes to a prison in a foreign country and just say it's not in his power to bring anyone back.

Perfect.
That's the reality they want, yes.
At least until someone they know gets deported, then they'll take to conservative channels to whine about leopards.

Actually, the trumpkins I hate the most are the ones who are supporting him from the safety of their own countries. Dump's antics won't affect them, at least not directly. Then again, at least the ripples will.

"“All foreign nationals present in the United States longer than 30 days must register with the federal government. Failure to comply with this is a crime punishable by fines, imprisonment, or both… If not, you will be arrested, fined, deported, never to return to our country again,” said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt."
