The White House did release a statement.

The White House press pool reported, “The President won his second round matchup of the Senior Club Championship today in Jupiter, FL, and advances to the Championship Round tomorrow.”

The White House ignored the protests of an entire nation and instead talked about notorious golf cheat Donald Trump’s “victory” at a tournament held at his own club.

It was reported on Friday that Trump doesn’t give a ◊◊◊◊ about anything and is doing whatever he wants.

Yes, I know. The Russian newspaper Pravda still exists today, alive and well, complete with its Soviet awards on its banner. I bought a copy when i was in Russia a few years ago. It is quite popular still. There are plenty of dedicated communists still in Russia. Moreso with Putin ramping up power and nationalism.

I went to our local protest, held on the capitol grounds. I go to a lot of those, but this was by far the largest protest I've ever seen there. They actually filled the front lawn of the building. When the pictures of it made it to Twitter, the vast majority of followup comments were from blue-check pundits claiming it's all AI-generated and/or funded by George Soros and/or populated with illegal aliens. The desperation on the part of Elon Musk and his botnet is pretty palpable.

On a quick drive around the small Ohio town of Delta, you can spot nearly as many Trump flags as American stars-and-stripes banners.

And at the petrol station near the Ohio Turnpike, the pumps bear relics of the last administration, with slogans slamming Trump's predecessor: "Whoever voted for Biden owes me gas money!"

This is Trump country - the Republican ticket easily won here in November's presidential election by a margin of almost two-to-one. And while the markets are in turmoil following Trump's unveiling of expansive global tariffs this week, plenty of people in Delta and hundreds of Midwestern towns like it still back the president's plans.

Those plans, to impose tariffs of between 10% and 50% on almost every country, have upended global trade and led to warnings that prices could soon rise for American consumers. Trump, meanwhile, has said the move will address unfair trade imbalances, boost US industry and raise revenue.

For some in Delta, the president's argument about fairness resonates.

"I don't want people in other countries to suffer, I really don't," said Mary Miller, manager of the Delta Candy Emporium, which sits in the middle of the village's Main Street. "But we need to have an even playing field."

Miller, a three-time Trump voter, believes other countries haven't played fair on trade. And like many here, she prefers to buy American-made goods.

Some time ago I read that he insists on doing his own hair and makeup. That would explain why the makeup just suddenly stops at the side of his face. He can't see that part in his mirror. He probably thinks it's a big secret that he even wears makeup at all, just like he probably thinks it's a big secret that he's balding.

Personally, I'm hoping Trump will prove his greatness by repeating something a past great politician did, the late, great Budd Dwyer. Think about it: Trump wants to be remembered, right? That would do it!

I can easily believe that. That trump would be way too insecure to allow another person to color his hair or apply his makeup. That way he can pretend nobody knows! It's his secret! The only exception must be poor Melania, hard to hide that kind of thing from the wife. No wonder she's had so much trouble playing the 'adoring wife' role.
