Who should run for the Dems?

Fines for not letting males in female bathrooms and locker rooms.
Do show me that policy proposal
Guaranteed jobs for all.
Yes, you need a federal jobs guarantee to get environmental legislation passed. "What happens to the coal miners?" If you can't answer that question, you'll never get us off fossil fuels.
Allowing racial discrimination at schools, employers, etc. (racial equity)
Do demonstrate such policy
Open borders.
what Democratic politician has campaigned on open borders?
Ending nuclear power.
That is across the board, not just Democrats. Trust me, I advocate for nuclear energy and I get the same response from everybody irrespective of party affiliation.

If transgender is added to the Civil Rights Act, fines can be issued.

If there is no border enforcement, and everyone who wants to come in is allowed in, and we have catch and release, and undocumented migrants are allowed to vote and work, we have open borders.

Apparently Fox News chyrons are now “centrist” policies.

Even as the dumb ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ they elected burn everything down, it always comes back to transphobia with these chuds.

More people are endangered by the measles right now than have ever been endangered by the entire transgender population, but they continue to pretend it was some kind of existential threat worth tearing down the country over.

I know it may come as a shock to some people, but social issues like the migrant crisis and the transgender dilemma are part of the reason why many folks lost faith in the Dems last year. But the BIG one was inflation.

You think super-Progressive agendas will bring Independents back to Blue?
moderate dems are socially liberal and fiscal conservatives that have been failing to reach to the middle since forever.

i don’t think fiscal conservativism works for people

I gave you the policies.
You did no such thing

Again, what are the specific policies? No Democrat advocated for an open border. The "Transgender question" is nonsense that affects almost no-one. The Democrats mistake was following along like that was an honest discussion. Rest assured, I don't make that same mistake.

And if you think the Democrats were too progressive in terms of addressing inflation (nice pivot from your original point), you have no idea what progressive policies actually are. And I'm not going to pretend the republicans offered any real solutions for inflation. Hell, they ran the guy who got us into this mess in the first place. Did you know we ended 2019 with a recession because of his asinine economic policies? Do you remember his trade wars that drove farmers out of business and led to an increase in suicides?

So, feel free to drop the lie it was about the economy.

Wrong.

Moderate Dems support higher taxes on the rich and corporations. That's not fiscal conservative at all.

They support a marginal tax rate less than what JFK proposed. and they are pretty slow with the regulations. Every decision they make goes through the scope of "how can we get this to work with big business?"

the reality is modern Democrats are to the right of Eisenhauer

Interesting. Case in point. My brother-in-law is an extreme Progressive, raised in LA, lives in Marin county. Supporters extreme Progressive proposals, except one: he loves his daughter, and wants his daughter to live in a world where she is fairly and with respect. He opposes transwomen in womens' sports and locker rooms. He feels otherwise his daughter is not protected and not treated fairly.

As for an open border, if no undocumented persons are deported, and are allowed to work and allowed to vote, and given free housing by taxpayers, we essentially have an open-border policy.

Which Democrats won Federal elections in 2024 and 2022? Moderate Democrats.

But go ahead and ignore reality.

I hope Gavin Newsom. Feels like a guy that you can't ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊, will win every debate etc..
Nope, please nope. Also, I know of no reason to think he'd perform well in competitive debates. He's an empty hypocritical suit at best. I lived in San Francisco when he was mayor and have known of him for years. He'll lose no matter who the GOP runs. All the GOP has to do is point to CA with a clip of him explaining his early dinner at the French Laundry with lobbyists right after he'd put CA in lockdown. Or the clip of him explaining that as governor he wasn't worried about folks leaving the state because, "Where are you going to go?" followed by an anecdote about some of his friends that had recently moved to Utah. Or the clip of him nearly singlehandly getting a gay marriage ban passed in CA by telling the opponents, "It's going to happen, whether you like it or not.!" I'd be surprised if any Dem from CA gets elected to the presidency in my lifetime. The have it too easy in CA so just don't have the ability to run a competitive campaign.

Polis, Shapiro, or Whitmer.

Shapiro could do it.

Big ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ deal. We're not talking about your brother-in-law (if we take your statement at face value). All you proved is he is a big enough sucker to fall for that moral panic.

And again, no Democratic politician ran on an open border. Obama and Biden deported massive amount of migrants. If they are truly undocumented, how are they working and voting?

It wasn't any of these things, but rather the propagandizing about them.

We have actual data now that it wasn't about the economy. Trump has made it measurably worse since he's been in office and he and his surrogates are preparing us for it to get worse. Yet Trump's numbers remain at their historical levels.

The BIG one was inflation? Inflation was down to 2% in November. The BIG one was lies and fear-mongering and a population apparently completely fine with fascist policies.

Shapiro could do it.
Nope. He's going to be the centrist Dem version of Scott Walker or Ron Desantis. Big hype, lots of love from the media, wave of popularity in his home state, but he ain't ready for prime time. He comes off as a smarmy East Coast liberal elite...because he is. He also does not handle opposition or criticism well. HE may be able to fix those problems in time for 2028, but he isn't there now
