Trump's Second Term

Clearly. But the question is whether Pres. Trump actually believes it's the original (which has been continuously on display at the U.S. National Archives building on the Mall for many decades), or whether he's just concocting yet another story about how everyone before him has betrayed the United States in some obscure way.
There's an old joke told about how President Warren Harding did more to protect the Constitution than any other President.

Because the thing had just been sitting on a dusty old shelf in the archives until he ordered it to be better preserved.

Has the anecdote somehow got mangled in the telling ?

I mean if Barron has managed to hack into a secure laptop using his 1337 skillz then fair play, that's impressive (but also a significant security risk given his dad's attitude to managing secure material).

If it's just simply a matter of him switching on his laptop when dad has switched it off then significantly less so.
Perhaps this story tells us that Trump needs to have computer people switch on his laptop for him, and he believes this is normal.

For the removal of doubt, I'm serious.

_____ reportedly had asked for the original to be moved into the oval office, but was talked out of the idea because of the difficulty of moving the original (it is preserved in a display case filled with argon rather than the normal atmosphere).

I'm not sure why the media are making such a big deal out of this. It apparently is not unusual for presidents to request to have historical documents, paintings, or photos displayed in the oval office.

How far will it go?

I was quite realistic about all Trump would do. I knew he was out to wreck the cabinest. Not knowing yet in November how. But I was really thinking this was about as far as it would go. I thought courts would hold out well. I knew quite well what was going to happen to the DOJ. But this is as far as my imagination went. Including loss of Ukraine.

What is next? The first 6 months?

Awesome.
Shut. It. Down.

More bureaucracy is not the answer to kids who cannot read. Kids are worse off now than ever.
Giant waste of money that never improved anything in terms of results.

Next: get rid of California's Teachers Union. A selfish grift that harms the kids.
Offer vouchers for school choice. Let parents decide.
Mmm. The Party of Personal Responsibility never seems to be able to take personal responsibility for the effects of their constant and longstanding war against public education. Instead, they actively work to attack it all the more. The quoted is pretty much a case in point.

Do you even know what the Department of Education does, or are you just parroting the hard-right party line?

It was never about bureaucracy. Or trans athletes. Most of the South needs federal funding of schools.

Are they?

It appears that test scores in reading and math are both slightly better than they were in 1971. Both were trending up until relatively recently for 9 and 13 year olds.

For 17 year olds as well at least through 2012.

Now, relative to other countries, we might be slipping. Maybe that's why Trump wants to annex Canada. To take their education system.
