With that little "who wouldn't invest in Elon Musk?" thing at the end, it's hard to believe that Lutnick himself has not. Which raises the question- is it ethical or even legal for a government employee, especially at his level, to be shilling like this for a corporation he has at least some control over and a financial interest in (assuming he does, and I guess it's possible he isn't listening to his own advice)?

No doubt Lutnick would be aggrieved and paint himself as a victim of the lib press if someone asks, but who would actually be to blame for the question? The Trump team from the top down seem to be largely characterized by an absolute inability to just STFU, or at least to keep from screaming the quiet parts out as loudly as they can.

Question: was he actually promoting anti-Semitism and pro-Hamas propaganda? If so, yes have his Green Card or visa revoked. But they should have Due Process and be able to contest this in court before deportation. I assume the Green Card rules allow for this, but its possible they dont.

If the rules allow the Secr of State to simply determine a person is a threat and needs to be kicked out, then they need to change the law to allow for appeals.

Something makes me suspect they're using the alt-right definitions, wherein any criticisms of Israeli government policy are "anti-Semitic" and any recognition of the rights of Palestinians is "pro-Hamas".

Jokes on him. Most of Trump's base can barely afford a used car, much less a Tesla. Even if they buy some stock and inflate its price a bit, there's nothing they can do to keep it from continuing to tank hard by, for example, buying actual Teslas. They'll just end up losing their investments in the end. I'm sure even Trump cultists understand the concept of "buy low - sell high", but are they really going to try to hitch a ride on a company that's currently speeding earthward in flames?

Has the anecdote somehow got mangled in the telling ?

I mean if Barron has managed to hack into a secure laptop using his 1337 skillz then fair play, that's impressive (but also a significant security risk given his dad's attitude to managing secure material).

If it's just simply a matter of him switching on his laptop when dad has switched it off then significantly less so.

It's a totally unbelievable story - one of the most fanciful Trump has come out with so far - does he really think anyone will believe he can switch a laptop off?

Ah, but here's a brilliant idea, soon to be announced: Trump will enrichen Americans by taking their money that's currently wasted on Social Security, and investing it into his brilliant genius friend's company, Tesla! They'll be so rich, oh yes, the biggest, the best, people say to me, they say "Sir, you're the best", big, richest big, best, very nasty woman Hillary, she cheated, ketchup, best at golf, best president at golf, they say, people say, did you know this? Did you know this? I didn't know this, I , I, ketchup, I, best.

Clearly. But the question is whether Pres. Trump actually believes it's the original (which has been continuously on display at the U.S. National Archives building on the Mall for many decades), or whether he's just concocting yet another story about how everyone before him has betrayed the United States in some obscure way.
 
The DOI is a funny little document. Its a paragraph justifying the need for Independence from England, but after that its just a list of acts by George III that have led to the Declaration. It was done so relatively early in the conflict that some of the complaints lack details, such as "hiring of foreign mercenaries". At the time of the signing the Continental Congress still didn't know where, if anywhere, George was getting more soldiers. It turned out to be mostly Hessians (and other Germans) but nobody knew at the time as George was appealing to Russia and other old allies.
