Cont: Musk, SpaceX and future of Tesla II

Err...

Financial Times Analysis: $1.4 Billion of Tesla Assets "Appear to have gone astray"

Other than the headline, there's also -

Both of those are rather suspicious things.

oh man, i think there's a preponderance of evidence that there's a massive amount of fraud at tesla. in a sane world he'd have fled the country by now.

just the full self driving alone. he was selling it to people, they knew it didn't work and that it never could. and it cost $15k at one point

i think you either get agreement on this, or you’ll get a not technically a nazi and how dare you try and downplay the horrors of the holocaust argument.

it’s really on the individual as to whether or not you’ll dignify those kinds of arguments. imo those people aren’t worth bothering with until they come to terms with what they’ve been either directly or indirectly supporting for so long.
Indeed.

The thing about Nazis: A Warning from History is not that it is just about the holocaust, nor is anyone saying the US is currently like 1939's Germany.

However, what it does is slowly and carefully examines and exposes exactly how a fairly normal western democracy descended within a few years, with the acceptance and agreement of its population, into the horrors of fascism.

The lesson being, if it happened then and there, it could happen now, if the lessons are not learned, and the warnings are not heeded.

The US is on that path right now, and the lessons have been forgotten, and the warnings are being ignored.

Elon Musk confirms that he offered Biden to rescue the astronauts stranded in space, but Biden rejected his offer for political reasons.

If true, then credit where it's due, in this instance Musk was cool, and Biden et al were not. If not true --- and we all know these are a bunch of shameless liars, Trump and his stooges and sidekicks --- then, while the lie needs to be called out clearly, but even so, credit where it's due, the rescue, the return, call it what you will, was cool. Does raise questions about the technical competence behind this unprecedented delay.

It's not true. Not entirely, anyway.

The astronauts were "stranded" because of faults with the Boeing capsule they were scheduled to use to return. They came back on the next Crew Dragon which was already docked since September. However, due to operational constraints it couldn't undock until the next crew rotation module came to replace it. Musk may have offered to send a special mission up there, but that would have interfered with the ISS's schedule. Biden certainly didn't reject his offer "for political reasons". It was because bringing them down before the next crew was due to go up would have left only one American astronaut on the station, which is bad for a variety of reasons, most of which should be fairly obvious.

This is a pretty good explanation of what happened:

Post WW1 Germany was not a normal western democracy1. That said, neither is the USA.

1If there was such a thing as a "normal western democracy" at the time.
