Trump's Second Term

Which, of course is a wonderful excuse to sit back and do nothing.\ since nothing can be done.
Civil war is also an option for those that want to do something.

History tends to indicate that the only circumstances in which the majority make relative gains on the ultra-wealthy is just after the world, for one reason or another, has gone to ◊◊◊◊. The most recent example is the period after WWII. In between those times the ultra-wealthy accelerate away from everyone else.

In the past this wasn't so bad because absolute wealth could still increase for everyone. But humanity has reached (and in many cases exceeded) the limits of what the planet can provide sustainably, so significant growth in absolute wealth is at an end and the only parameter we can affect is distribution.

The good news is that there would be more than enough for everyone if we could stop trying so hard for growth (e.g., current nonsense of water and energy hungry datacentres for AI) and focus more on sharing the wealth more fairly. What I think we need is a way to tie the wealth of those at the top to those in the middle, so government aims to keep the maximum to median wealth at a fixed ratio. This doesn't prevent growth, but it does mean any growth has to be beneficial for everyone.

How many billionaires and multi-millionaires are currently in or controlling the US government at the moment? That is the problem in the US and elsewhere.

We report the results of a pilot study of the political views and activities of the top 1 percent or so of US wealth-holders. We find that they are extremely active politically and that they are much more conservative than the American public as a whole with respect to important policies concerning taxation, economic regulation, and especially social welfare programs. Variation within this wealthy group suggests that the top one-tenth of 1 percent of wealth holders (people with $40 million or more in net worth) may tend to hold still more conservative views that are even more distinct from those of the general public. We suggest that these distinctive policy preferences may help account for why certain public policies in the United States appear to deviate from what the majority of US citizens wants the government to do. If this is so, it raises serious issues for democratic theory.

That sounds like a positive to me. When judges no longer want explanations, that's a serious negative.

There was a court order stopping the flight which was ignored and the reason given was the flight was in international airspace so it didn't count.

The interesting thing is there were three flights. The last one didn't take off till after the written order was made. Now they are frantically trying to come up with a 'novel' interpretation of the law to cover that one.

@realDonald Trump

I am pleased to announce a new Board of Visitors for our Nation's oldest Military Academy, West Point. Major General David Bellavia, Lieutenant General Dan Walrath, General Michael Flynn, Congressman Wesley Hunt, Maureen Bannon, and Meghan Mobbs are hereby appointed to the Board. They will make our Country proud. Congratulations to all.

And Socialism has so wide a range of meaing that it has become hard to understand what the hell you are talking about. COvers everything from most Eu Countires to nightmares like North Korea.
It is merely a swear word. No MAGA has one iota of a clue what the word "socialism" means.

Bellavia endorsed trump, nothing on Walrath, Flynn speaks for itself, as does the congress critter. Maureen Bannon is the daughter of Steve Bannon, and trump doesn't know how to spell the name of Meaghan Mobbs.
