Nah, I am convinced that Donnie sees the evangelicals as just another group of suckers he can con if he says the right things.
I have seen no real change in his behavior since the assasination attempt; but he is milking it for all he is worth.

Lot of US anti-semites (in the meaning Israel wants to be official) are supporting Israel in the hopes that it quickens the day ehen their god gives them the ok to slaughter all the jews.

Per Snope's analysis (which I tend to agree with) Trump probably did not confuse 'transgender' with 'transgenic" --he simply intentionally lied as he so often does.

Yeah, give it another few years and some of these "heroes of the resistance" may actually have become bold enough to do, or at least say, something which could be interpreted as doing something to actually constrain the Trump administration in some way. Too many of the GOP in Congress are fully paid-up MAGA members and the rest are more afraid of being primaried than they are of losing the subsequent election - especially if Republican voter suppression efforts are successful.

If and when MAGA does collapse and it becomes clear what a disaster it was, I'm sure there'll be plenty coming out of the woodwork to claim that they were bravely undermining from within the whole time - in the same way that the number claiming to be involved with the French Resistance post liberation was several times the number during occupation. It's easy to be brave when there's nothing to fear.

TPM ...a new memorandum from the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), dated March 5th, 2025, directs all acquisitions executives through the military to stop including language which requires contractors to agree that they will not use segregated facilities as a condition of being a DOD contractor.

Specifically the memorandum bars the use of FAR 52.2220-21 Prohibition of Segregated Facilities. This is a provision which dates back to 1965 and has been updated by a series of Executive Orders over the years adding additional forms of restricted segregation. The most recent change came in 2015 when sexual orientation and gender identity were added via executive order to the list of prohibited forms of segregation. The history and evolution of the Prohibition of Segregated Facilities is discussed here in the Federal Register.

Presumably it is the addition of gender identity which drove the OSD to ban usage of the Prohibition of Segregated Facilities in DOD contracts. Maybe? But the 2015 addition of gender identity to the Prohibition could simply have been revoked. It was added in 2015 and it could be removed in 2025. What they did here, however, is remove everything. So military contractors will no longer have to warrant they don’t have racially segregated facilities or facilities segregated by religion or ethnicity or anything else.

The whole "Rare Earth" talk is a big fat Red Herring - since the actual amounts needed for the industry are miniscule, the actual production costs are unaffected even if the price doubles or triples - there is no market for tons and tons of the stuff, which is why so many places don't bother with developing their resources.
And there are alternatives.

the Ukraine $500 billion deal is just the standard Colonizer deal to keep a country indebted to you - it doesn't mean anything economically.
