Trump's Second Term

I know it's random which frame the still on those two videos is generated from, but the look on Mike Johnson's face says it all.

Nice dig at Trump and Vance with the opening of PMQs and Starmer remembering British troops who died this day in Afghanistan, supporting the USA after it was subject to attack on 9/11. I do not think they have said thank you enough for the internation support they got after 9/11.

White House Press Secretary on yesterdays speech.

Karoline Leavitt
@PressSec

Tonight, President Trump absolutely owned the moment.

He showed the world why the American people overwhelmingly re-elected him to serve in the highest office in the land.

Democrats reminded us they are the party of insanity and hate — they could not even clap for a child battling cancer, or mothers who lost their children.

President Trump is restoring common sense. The renewal of the American Dream is well underway, and we are just getting started! 🇺🇸

Is doing the right thing for the wrong reason a positive nor a negative?

Executive order: Honoring Jocelyn Nungaray

From Wikipedia: "On June 16, 2024, Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old American girl, was sexually assaulted and killed in North Houston, Texas, United States. The case attracted national attention, as two undocumented migrants from Venezuela were charged with her murder."

The Executive Order said:
Rename the area known as the “Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge” as the “Jocelyn Nungaray National Wildlife Refuge” and ensure that her life is permanently commemorated therein.

Soon to be renamed the Jocelyn Nungary National Oil Field.

Remember the kitchen table lady a year ago claiming Biden was doing nothing to families? I would like to bring her back to explain how cutting Elon's taxes is going to help her. Ukraine...well, she has no time for Ukraine.

From the Independent's transcript of Trump on US vs Europe suporting Ukraine: "And we’ve spent perhaps $350 billion. Like taking candy from a baby. That’s what happened. And they’ve spent $100 billion. What a difference that is."

Yeah, that's the kind of difference you can get when you're prepared to just blatantly lie.

I have to say Trudeau's speech yesterday morning was note perfect. He didn't resort to juvenile insults but effectively called Trump dumb while quotong the WSJ and the smirk on his face when he said "you're a very smart guy" was priceless. He also never called him mr trump or president but called him Donald 3 times. And why not? Trump has no honour so why bother with an honorific?

#dumbdonald was trending on twitter for a short time yesterday.

I imagine Trudeau spent some time deciding how to deal with the god-emperor's constantly calling him "governor" (which the sycophants have adopted as a great joke). Calling him Donald is a nicely passive aggressive way of not being directly confrontational but making the point anyway.

Elon's comment after the speech last night

"After tonight, I am increasingly convinced that we can get to 60 Senators"

He's also sure that Tesla's profits will increase by 1,000% in five years. His predictions are just wishes with no basis in fact.
No basis ? His control over the government is increasing every day. He has support of the president, so he can't be charged with anything. The only question is how well he can transform this into company success. Clearly he thinks he can. And say all you want, he clearly knows a thing or two about success, or at least, making money.
