USA Rapidly Becoming a Pariah State

"To a degree" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

Drone warfare is expensive. Ukraine wouldn't be able to sustain it without outside help.

If Canadian means to sustain it, they need to invest now, and invest big, against the day when it comes down to that.

But Canadia has never had to invest heavily in national defense, and probably lacks the knowledge and the will to do it.
This is true. However, there may be certain folks out there who have recruited a team and who are designing low-cost factories using new manufacturing tech. True that for airborne drones, there is a problem with something very simple, which is making the electric motors that drive the fans (making and winding thin wire). No mystery to it if you are not planning on competing on cost, as China's econ of scale is off the charts in this case.

Swarm-based attrition warfare is just getting started. What if, say, someone broke the Western arms model by actually transferring production and tech to customer nation states, offering factories instead of expensive buy-from-me, pay-for-maint "compensation"? Might be nasty. And cheap, the key variable.

Norwegian shop renames 'American pancakes' (which are eaten in stacks, unike the Euro variant that's eaten like tortillas). They're Canadian pancakes now. They've reported increased sales

you do know there is no 'euro' pancake? The French have crepes and galettes, there are Scotch pancakes and Dutch pancakes, and English pancakes, Belgium waffles and Danish aebelskiver.

Thanks for mansplaining to me what we Norwegians refer to as pancake.s
Well, I don't know why you think 'Euro pancakes' are eaten like a tortilla? Tortilla is a thick egg and potatoe dish, occasionally with other ingredients. Tortillas may be cooked in a pan but they are more of a omelette variant. Pancakes are made of egg and flour (and other ingredients). Some may be rolled up, most are eaten flat. That isn't even getting into regional variants like Staffordshire oatcakes, a pancake made with oatmeal and usually eaten like a sandwich for lunch.

It isn't as if Norway is in the Eurozone, or EU so you may not have been aware that there is no Euro standard pancake (although I wouldn't put it past the EU to legislate on the issue).

Today in Britain is Pancake Day, (and probably elsewhere in Christendom), so debate on pancakes seems appropriate.

PS sexist much? Don't you think women are capable of explaining things?

I think by Tortilla he is referring to the flat, circular, unleavened bread that you use in a wrap or burrito... and is also referencing the common way of eating pancakes - the large, flat sort - by folding in half, then half again.

Oh! Mexican style tortilla. Not sure who eats pancakes like that? Americans? In Britain pancakes are eaten either flat or rolled up. When I worked in Brittany galettes had the 'corners' folded in like an envelope. Crepes may be rolled or I agree folded into a quarter (but I think this is a modern innovation). Stafford oatcakes are folded in half. Dutch pancakes are dish shaped and remind me of Yorkshire puddings, and are eaten 'flat' as they are used like a dish with filling. Norwegian pancakes look like English pancakes (suggesting the latter were a Viking legacy), and are eaten rolled or flat. Belgium pancakes (waffles) don't fold. scotch pancakes are eaten flat usually served as a stack. I have never manged to eat more than one as they are quite filling.

That's not possible, so why try?
Look they just need a good supply of Nukes, that is something every country should have as shown by the invasion of Ukraine, they were really stupid to give up their nukes and look at what it cost them. No we need massive nuclear proliferation that is what those calls for canada to build up its military is really all about.

Nuclear proliferation is a good thing now.

Defending from invasion? Probably impossible. What Beau of the Fifth Column calls the hard part, though, the occupation and dealing with an insurgency of rightfully pissed-off Canadians and all sorts of instructors, volunteers, and terrorists who will probably come swarming in from other countries to help a friend in need or just for a chance to have a scrap with the Great Satan? I predict that will get ugly.

Have none of you watched Canadian Bacon?

It's been well established for many years that if a country does something to annoy the US, there are two outcomes:

1) No nukes - Attack and/or invasion.
2) Nukes - Wringing of hands and a firmly worded letter.

Are you thinking of a frittata?

Just a few weeks ago I was enjoying macadamia nut pancakes while watching whales breaching. Now I'm dealing with Donnie Diapers creating not only a pariah state, but perhaps a failed state.
