Trump's Second Term

Re: Schindler as an example that "not all nazis are bad...
As the saying goes, he is the exception that proves the rule.
to be incredibly pedantic - not what that expression means.
Actually I think its a perfect example of what the expression means.

A "rule" was suggested (i.e. all nazis are bad), an exception was proposed (look at schindler).

But when you look at Schindler, you see evidence that he likely was not a "nazi". (Yes, he was a member of the nazi party, but his actions suggest it was more of a ruse, a cover, and that he didn't actually subscribe to the ideals of the nazi party.)

The fact that in order to find someone who fit the idea that "not all nazis were bad" you had to find someone who actually contradicted the nazi ideology, is evidence for the validity of the rule.
What the example of Schindler proves is that resistance against Fascism is always possible - if you are incredibly privileged, in a position of authority and don't embarrass the powers that be publicly. In other words: if you are not a threat to the system, you can get away with a lot.
Which just highlights that a Schindler-like resistance would never be enough to stop Fascism.
All that is irrelevant in describing the current state of American politics (and the idea that "all republicans are scum).

First of all, Schindler actually DID something to save lives (resist fascism). On the other hand, we do not see any such actions from the republicans. (Yeah, they may talk in private about how "Trump is crazy/he's a problem", or they may complain about him after they leave politics, but when confronted with the opportunity to actually do something, they cave. (Witness that the ONLY senator to reject Kennedy's confirmation was Moscow Mitch.)

Secondly, the U.S. has a (sort of almost) democracy. Unlike Schindler (where he was working in an authoritarian system), a republican congress critter actually COULD have a significant role in undermining Trump, with no risk of being arrested by the government. (one or 2 congressmen voting against the MAGAchud could be enough to block unqualified Trump nominees, or prevent questionable legislation from being passed.)

Trump statement on the Macron visit and Ukraine

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump

Today, President Emmanuel Macron of France joined me in the Oval Office to speak to the G7 Summit.
The meeting was convened by Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada, the current chair of G7, to acknowledge the Third Anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine War -Which would have never started if I was President.
Everyone expressed their goal of seeing the War end, and I emphasized the importance of the vital "Critical Minerals and Rare-Earths Deal" between the United States and Ukraine, which we hope will be signed very soon!
This deal, which is an "Economic Partnership," will ensure the American people recoup the Tens of Billions of Dollars and Military Equipment sent to Ukraine, while also helping Ukraine's economy grow as this Brutal and Savage War comes to an end.
At the same time, I am in serious discussions with President Vladimir Putin of Russia concerning the ending of the War, and also major Economic Development transactions which will take place between the United States and Russia.
Talks are proceeding very well!

President Trump is a genius His latest move is going to make America so great again, believe me. The economy is booming, jobs are pouring in, and the country is respected once more.

Thank you, Mr. President, for your incredible leadership!

Rep. Andy Ogles has introduced articles of impeachment against a judge.
He has Elon's full support

Time to impeach judges who violate the law

🚨 I just formally introduced articles of impeachment against RADICAL LGBTQ ACTIVIST U.S. District Judge John Bates. His attempt to block President Trump's order to remove webpages containing resources for "gender-affirming care" from government sites is appalling.

At no point in American history has the judiciary considered the surgical or chemical castration of healthy children to be a compelling or even legitimate health concern and it shouldn't start now.

We must protect our children from predators like Judge Bates.

Given the propensity for "ONLY LIES!" from the White House, I would bet any discussions did not proceed like that at all, and that those conclusions were certainly not what were reached. This was likely a pre-prepared statement, ready to go out before the meeting even happened.

That's SOP for Donny. Bongino thinks he will spend all his time at the FBI pointing fingers and shouting. Won't happen. Big, busy organisations like the FBI need a LOT of management across multiple levels. Kash will sit in Hoover's chair, but Bongino will have to sit in a real office and do real office work for long hours all week. For once, he's going to be a VERY busy little worker bee. And that's just to find The Woke and get rid of it. Not to mention Musk bouncing through the place knocking things over like a rocket-propelled beachball.

Dan, be careful what you ask for - you might actually get it.
If he was a competent administrator he would. Instead he will spend most of his time looking for some libs under beds.

He was sent there to find the FBI employees who worked to prosecute Trump previously, and fire them. Then he is going to ◊◊◊◊ off back to lolling in front of a microphone at MAGA Radio headquarters, blathering on forever about how he trolled the woke libz real good.

Donald has a meltdown about the "UNPARDONABLE SIN" of fake news and how NBC and MSDNC are a corrupt and illegal arm of the Democrat Party

Donald J. Trump
@realDonald Trump

Lowlife Chairman of "Concast," Brian Roberts, the owner of Ratings Challenged NBC and MSDNC, has finally gotten the nerve up to fire one of the least talented people in television, the mentally obnoxious racist, Joy Reid. Based on her ratings, which were virtually non-existent, she should have been "canned" long ago, along with everyone else who works there.
Also thrown out was Alex Wagner, the sub on the seriously failing Rachel Maddow show. Rachel rarely shows up because she knows there's nobody watching, and she also knows that she's got less television persona than virtually anyone on television except, perhaps, Joy Reid.
Then there's, of course, the LOW IQ Con Man, Al Sharpton, who has, perhaps, the lowest TV ratings in the history of television. What is he doing to Brian Roberts to stay on the air?
This whole corrupt operation is nothing more than an illegal arm of the Democrat Party. They should be forced to pay vast sums of money for the damage they've done to our Country. Fake News is an UNPARDONABLE SIN!
