Trump's Second Term

Can you grasp the distinction between a portrait of President Roosevelt, and a political cartoon depicting Roosevelt as a monarch?

I don't understand what you are arguing. The cartoon of Roosevelt is clearly critical, and disapprovingly comparing him to an absolute monarch. Roosevelt wasn't making claims about himself being a king.

The Trump picture released by the White House is obviously a flex. It is approvingly comparing him to an absolute monarch.

Remember how the GOP threw a ◊◊◊◊ fit over Biden doing a speech with a background that they interpreted as having mildly spooky atmospherics?

Now Trump says he's a king, his own White House official social media account depicts him as one, he's dropping hints about running for a third term, CPAC hosts Steve Bannon explicitly saying Trump should run for a third term overriding clear constitutional prohibitions. I mean, it is almost as if Trump thinks he is the embodiment of the state, and is happy to brazenly say it.

If Steve Bannon is involved, it's all about owning the libs. Don't wind yourself up about a trolling attempt.

"L'ÉTAT, C'EST MOI"
Won't be long until we see Cartoons of Trump as the Sun King.

This.
A bloated orange ball of gases? I think many of us already see Trump as a sun.
I meant Louis the 14th of France, known as The Sun King.
Louis made a very, very, famous quote : 'The State? It's Me"...Le Etat, Cei Mois.

Yes, I know, but Louis's fashion sense alone disqualifies him from a comparison to Trump.

Trump is playing wiht fire with the Post Office. If he disrupts that, it will do huge damage to the economy.
He is not begin to cause disruption to the lives of average Americans. That has got o thave bad consequences for him.

Canada again.
They get 95% of their product from the United States, so I think they have to become the 51st state. You heard the people booing the national anthem, but I think ultimately they'll be praising the national anthem ... I call him Governor Trudeau ... we're looking at Greenland.

One word. DeJoy.
