The only pushback he got was when he tried to make a sex trafficker of teens Attorney General. But managing to make an anti-vaxxer head of health services is still a pretty remarkable flex.

We are lucky the pushback came early and led to Gaetz withdrawing. Otherwise the GOP would be too scared to vote against him and we'd have a pedo AG in office.

Main reason for the pushback on Gaetz was the GOP senators knew him personally and despised him.
I read that the Gaetz nomination was made on the spur of the moment by Trump without much though.
