I specifically said that I wanted the same sort of evidence that is required in every biological science for the existence of a novel species; this is absolutely basic to every single branch of biology.

Repeat after me: this is not extraordinary, it is absolutely basic science.

Not how reality works I'm afraid.

Just because something has wide appeal and is considered to have value by people is not evidence for that thing, nor does it mean that if there is no evidence it shouldn't be dismissed.

There is no evidence for spirits. None. Nada. Therefore sceptics will state that there is no reason to believe in them and act accordingly.
