I am surprised that you did not mention that antisemitism was an important part of Hitler’s ideology. Obviously, this is not the case for Trumpism, but other internal enemies have been found to be the cause of every problem in the U.S., as you well know: blacks, and women in charge, and illegal immigrants who’ll need papers as extensive as the Aryan passes to prove that they are legally in the U.S.

Also, let's remember that the Jews, along with the Roma (formerly gypsies), have typically been scapegoats and the target of persecution because they were a stateless, vulnerable minority in the countries they resided. In the US, the Jewish/Israeli lobby has plenty power, so illegal immigrants and LGBTQ+ people make for more suitable targets, along with other marginalized groups.
So I agree, the fact that Dump doesn't specifically target Jews doesn't make him any less fascist.

What you say is largely true for Roma, but the Jews were not stateless, and they often wielded considerable economic power. This wealth accumulated through hard work, and a lot of skill against a backdrop of racism made the Jews a target of envy. So because of the open antisemitism, the Jews were indeed vulnerable: they could be illegally targeted with death and destruction, and their money stolen with impunity.

The idea that George Soros is the head of the elite cabal of Jews controlling Hollywood, the press, academia etc etc is the backbone of Trumpism. The only reason Trump's support of Israel is tolerated by his cult is because they believe the Jews are instrumental in the apocalyptic prophecy they are trying to accelerate. That and the fact that they hate Muslims more than Jews.

Nonsense. Progressives have been fighting the good fight since forever. Just look at all the threads here where keyboard warriors are doing battle every day!

And it's working too. OK only one of us has actually shot a CEO so far, but we all support the concept - which is making the others run scared! (and this is not terrorism). We made Tesla sales plummet by refusing to buy one because Musk (and this is not cancel culture). We're stopping Trump from applying tariffs and deporting people by pointing fingers and laughing (while ignoring that that Biden deported more people than Trump did, and put 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs), and we stopped him from becoming president by showing the world what a stupid loser and all-round bad person he is (oh wait...).

Progressives are the embodiment of 'the Pen is mightier than the Sword'. Words are our weapons and social media is the battlefield. Don't think that because we aren't drawing physical blood it isn't just as effective as steel and gunpowder. War has always been about winning hearts and minds.

But don't think that it's only about winning for us. In fact we don't want to win. Actually winning would mean having to do stuff and take responsibility for it - and then we wouldn't be resisting, we would be the ones being resisted. Which wouldn't be any fun at all.

I’m now activistically switching my craft beer purchases from American producers to exclusively Rest of the World sources. Better variety, price and quality. That will show them!
