Trump's Second Term

Reading his response to the air crash makes me ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ sick. Even more than usual. I hate him. Absolutely loathe the man. I can't even quantify how much I hate him.
There are a few posters around here that claim Trump hate causes bias in his critics who are blinded to his good qualities, like his behavior in this press conference, for example.

Sen. Heidi Campbell (D) of Tennessee posted on social media: "We passed a bill in committee yesterday that felonizes elected officials if they vote against Trump's immigration policy. Duly elected officials will go to jail if they do not support Trump's policies" (I've left out a few words that are not relevant to the gist). This article explains in more detail.
Jesus ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ Christ! Are all maga weirdos/cultists this stupid? And un-American? And evil?

White, straight men. Remember DEI isn't just about race.
Two points:
  1. What if it turns out the air traffic controllers involved are indeed white straight men.
  2. The anti-DEI crowd might take a look at SCOTUS. Five of them are DEI hires under their "badness" criteria. More, if any of the remaining four are gay.

State legislatures are notorious for this level of bat-crap craziness. It's not law yet, although this is the state governor's pet bill. The bill has only just passed out committee in one house. It still has to be heard by the other house and then in general session. And the article points out that other legislators are skeptical of its constitutionality.

So the Venn diagram sector of who qualifies for this administration is rapidly shrinking.
We should just remember that the plan for firing all career executive employees and replacing them with Trump loyalists is probably still the end game. Trying to drum up support for a purge on the basis of DEI is largely a distraction.

Skeptical of its constitutionality?? That's like being skeptical that cutting your own head off with a chainsaw will kill you.

They can still be Biden administration Deep State operatives.

Only Justice Jackson seems to be a DEI problem, since Biden said he would appoint a woman of color to the seat. Presumably that meant a better qualified white man lost the job. In contrast, Justice Barrett was a specific female appointment in loving memory of Justice Ginsberg, and therefore immune to DEI criticism.

I agree 100%. Politicizing for his own ends a deadly crash that killed dozens of people even before we know exactly what caused it is beyond disgusting. It's yet another example of just how evil he is. I have never loathed anyone like I do Trump. He is a piece of excrement.

Excrement has its uses. He has none.

Now readint you had interesting stuff going on on wnndesday night: Some of the same GOP congressisonal Critters who said they supported TRump's funding freeze in public gave hell to Trump advisors behing close doors over it for blindingns

I notice that the Dump worshipers who are usually very active here have gone unusually quiet in this thread.
And every GOP politicina I have seen is dodgins the question.
Donnie blew it big time with this one, and I suspect even some of his advcisors know it.
I suspect he is going to try to do some backtracking.
But the way he is going, he is going t make it pretty easy for the Dems to win back the house in 2026. Actually, just the n ormal midterm change in favor of the opposition party will do it.

Yeah, but he turned on the faucets. And and and gave us a history lesson about Lincoln being a republican, and nobody knew that and that Native Americans are actually U.S. citizens and nobody knew that and he invented the term prime the pump which probably helped him turn on the faucets.
